Keeping my grin in place, I glance up at my cousin. “You don’t even have to touch me. Just make it appear that you’re flirting. That you’re into me, and you’ll get paid.”

She rolls her eyes and leans in close, hovering her lips in front of mine. “Fine. I hope she gets so angry at you that she cuts your dick off and dissolves in it a tub of acid.”

“Fuck, cous. You’re brutal. You sure know how to seduce a man.” I smirk and she straightens again, my eyes darting behind her to find my angry little mouse glaring at us.

“Dude, you’re my cousin. My skin is literally crawling right now. Not to mention my brother and his wife are on the podium. I can’t unsee that, Devon.”

I chuckle at Quinlan’s reaction, thankful she at least agreed to help me, since I didn’t want any outsiders getting involved.

“It’s nearly over,” I mutter, my eyes following Jaxcen as she moves through the crowd. “She’s already coming this way to fuck you up.”

“You are so fucked up,” Quinlan snaps, cocking her hip as her hand lands on it.

“I know. That’s why I’m your favourite cousin.”

“I wouldn’t go that far,” she scoffs.

“Incoming.” I grit between clenched teeth as Jaxcen reaches our side, her glare scorching the side of Quinlan’s head.

“Back off brunette barbie.”

Quinlan’s eyes widen as she turns to look at Jaxcen before shrugging nonchalantly.

“Whatever.”

Jaxcen frowns at my cousin as she spins and leaves us, before her hard glare returns to me.

“Why are you here?”

“It's Valentine's Day,” I say, like that’s an obvious reason.

“You need to leave,” she snaps, her dainty hands balled at her sides, and fuck, I’d be happy if she used them on me. A punch. A slap. It’s all foreplay when it comes to the two of us.

“Why do I need to leave, little mouse?”

Her nostrils flare, her chest rising and falling in rapid succession as she fights to keep her emotions in check.

Truthfully, I’m feeling out of sorts myself, finally talking to her instead of watching from a distance feels both good, and like I’m crossing a line that I know I drew.

Finn dished me a dose of advice last week, and after a lot of pondering, I decided to take it.

“You obviously care about her. Put yourself, her and everyone around us out of our misery and just claim her already. You already have a security detail on her twenty four seven. Just fucking man up.”

Leaning closer, Jaxcen’s words are a harsh tone as she speaks truthfully.

“I need you to leave because I don’t want to watch you fuck a bunch of other women.”

Hmmm. I like this version of her. The woman with fight. The woman who doesn’t cower.

“Maybe I’m not here to fuck a bunch of other women. Maybe I’m here to fuck just one.”

She glances around, her eyes zeroing in on every other brunette woman nearby as she searches for my cousin, Quinlan.

She won’t find her. Quinny is long gone, especially since her brother Griffin is performing anal with his wife Aggie on the podium. I forgot Griffin’s wife likes a bit of exhibitionism, and I was momentarily surprised to see them here tonight. I had to get over that really fucking fast when he whipped his cock out.

“Oh right.” Jaxcen snarls, “You’re just here to fuck bimbo barbie.”

“I thought it was brunette barbie?” I counter and she curls her lip.
