Aggie halts quickly by the bedside, her hand on the knob of the drawer, her eyes wide with disbelief.
“What? But-.”
Griffin cuts her off. “Aggie, this is Hush.”
Confusion contorts her face before something like recognition flits over it and her expression softens.
“Hush?”
“Yes. You remember what I told you aboutHush?” Griffin rasps, his eyes remaining on me.
“Yes, but she has a knife to your throat,” Aggie snaps and Griffin grins.
“Trust me, little elf, if she wanted me dead, she would have killed me already.”
Aggie’s brows shoot up, and she does the smart thing and steps away from the bedside table.
“To what do I owe the pleasure, Hush? You seem to have no problem getting past my security measures.”
I scoff and roll my eyes, and Griffin chuckles.
“You mind removing your blade?”
I bare my teeth and hiss at him, pressing Thana harder again, causing him to flinch.
“Please don’t hurt him,” Aggie cries. “I don’t want to hurt you, but if you hurt my man, I will fucking kill you. I don’t care that you are a child.”
Slowly, a smirk spreads my lips wider, and I tilt my head towards Aggie. I can see she means what she says. I mean, she wouldn’t be able to kill me before I got to her, but she thinks she can pull it off.
It’s good to see Griffin has found a woman that compliments him.
“Aggie, stop, honey. It’s ok. Hush won’t hurt me.”
I roll my eyes with even more dramatics and snap Thana away from him before leaping off the bed.
As I stroll out of the room like I didn’t just threaten one of Australia’s biggest players in the crime world, I hear Griffin release a relieved breath as his woman leaps for him.
Are they kissing?
At least they waited until my back was turned. It’s too early for that shit.
While I wait for Griffin to get dressed, I make my way through this ridiculously sterile house and sit my arse down at the table. My stomach growls as I eye the bowl of fruit in the centre, and I try to remember when I last ate.
I spent the first part of Friday watching over Jared in the hospital before Cynthia and William came to get me. They tried to feed me when I got home, and I nibbled on a sandwich, but I think that was it.
It's now 5am on Saturday morning, and the sun is starting to rise, so it’s definitely been a while since I ate.
With my sights set on a big green apple, I lean forward and jab Thana into it, holding it up to inspect on her tip before bringing it to my mouth to take a bite.
Mmm, juicy.
“You want a plate for that?” Griffin snaps, and I shrug, not looking at him and his woman as they join me with caution.
Griffin chuckles and pulls a chair out opposite me, while his woman moves to the kitchen and starts making coffee.
“Wanna tell me what this little visit is about?” Griffin asks, and I sigh, laying Thana and the apple on the table and take out my phone.
When I tap out my message, I hold it up to Griff.
