I dart my tongue out to moisten my lips, not missing how he tracks the movement. “Why do you both stay in this town then? I wouldn’t be able to handle the judgment daily,” I admit.
He sighs and nods. “I hate living here and so does Hud but we stay because of Van.”
My brows crash together. “Why?”
“Because someone like me doesn’t get accepted often.” I whirl around and come face to face with Van. He presses in until his chest is pressed against mine. “I have…” He purses his lips trying to find the right words. “Certain tastes and I hate being judged for it. I found my faith and shut the door on that part of me, knowing I would never find someone to share those urges with until recently.” I swallow, my mouth is suddenly dry.
“What type of tastes?” I blurt without thinking.
I jump when I feel Kye’s lips brush against the shell of my ear. “The type you love.”
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
HUDSON
My balls are so heavy it’s starting to get hard to walk!
All of us have been on edge all week, counting down the days until we can have her again. So many times this week I have nearly fucked up and told her the truth. Peyton has been spending more time around us and I can tell she likes us, but thinks it wrong for her to want all three of us. It’s Thursday night and we’re all sitting in the living room watching a movie. Van is in the love seat while Pey is lying with her feet on Kye’s lap and her head in mine. I may be horny as fuck, but being able to have her so relaxed and allowing us to touch her freely this past week has been incredible.
Her phone rings with an incoming FaceTime call, breaking me from my thoughts. When she lifts it and sees it’s her father a broad smile stretches across her beautiful face. I expect her to sit up and walk out of the room so her dad doesn’t see her with her head in my lap but she surprises me when she answers it.
“Hey, Daddy.”
His face fills the screen and he beams at his daughter. “Hey, baby girl, how are you?”
“I’m good. How are you? Where are you?”
“I’m great actually.” There’s a hint of excitement to his tone which has her studying him.
“What happened?” she presses. The three of us are so invested in this conversation, Van turns the volume on the TV down so we can listen in better.
“I spoke to your mom, she told me about what happened to her house.”
“Oh, sorry. I forgot to mention that. The town raised enough to help her and Ken with the plumbing. Hudson and Kye are going to help them rebuild the downstairs.” I flick my gaze to Kye who has the same dumbfounded look on his face, she talks about us like she has told her father about us and that shit has me wanting to beat my fists against my chest.
“That’s great. But, she did tell me something you forgot to mention.” Peyton begins gnawing on her bottom lip nervously. “You got some explaining to do, young lady.” I look at my boys and find they are all staring at her with rapt attention.
Peyton sighs. “I was going to tell you but then… everything just changed and I’ve been busy and it just slipped my mind.” She’s lying and now I need to know what the fuck she is hiding.
“P, this is something we should have discussed first.” He sounds hurt that she didn’t tell him about whatever this is.
“I know, Daddy,” she whispers. “I just… I didn’t know how to tell you. You know what Moms like and she would have cried or made a big deal about it, and I just didn’t want to deal with it.”
Brice sighs and scrubs a hand down his face. I’ve never formally met her father but I’ve heard a lot about him from her mom, and he seems like a good guy. “I get it, baby girl, I just wish you would have told me. Your mother is freaking out.”
Peyton rolls her lips over teeth to keep from smiling. “Lucky I’m not living with her right now then, huh?” Brice shakes his head and laughs.
“Jesus, P. A father doesn’t appreciate getting a message from his teenage daughter telling him she is living with three guys. You sure know how to get my blood pressure up.”
Peyton bursts out laughing and I love the fucking sound, it’s so beautiful that it brings a smile to my face. “Hey, one of them is a priest,” she fires back, then shoots Van a wink. The fucker just rolls his eyes but even he can’t help but smile at her.
“They’re the worst!” Brice claps back, causing Peyton to laugh. Van snorts and starts mumbling something under his breath. “Are you beingsafe?”
Peyton turns a bright shade of red. “Dad!” she scolds.
Brice raises his hand in surrender, the three of us all laughing at her expense. “Oh, so I assume they can hear?” he presses. Peyton groans and nods. “Well, good. Safety is paramount, boys?—”
“Dad, oh my God,” Peyton snaps, then rushes out of the room with our laughter following her.
