“Fuck, I don’t know how long I can wait.” He pressed his fingers into her folds, and she was wet for him.

“Please.” That was all she had to say.

He pushed forward, his hand on her hip, and sunk deep inside her. Later, he would spend hours worshiping her, but he needed to feel himself connect with her. Her sex gripped him as his hips touched her ass.

“I’m not sure how long I’ll last,” he said, gritting his teeth.

Rose took matters into her own hands and rocked forward and back. Ginger stood and watched as she pushed back on him. His fingers dug into her luscious ass.

He reached between them, pressed his thumb against her clit, and cupped her breast with his other hand. She rocked faster with each swirl of his finger. When he pinched her nipple, she screamed his name, and her sex clamped down around him. He couldn’t hold back any longer.

His legs felt numb. Her breathing was heavy as they stayed connected. She whined as he pulled out. He slapped her ass before she turned in the bed and laid down. He climbed in next to her and held her tight.

He’d almost lost her.

Her soft snores filled the room when his burner phone next to the bed beeped.

They’d already had so much shit go down, but he knew he couldn’t ignore the phone.

Brittany’s name flashed on the screen and below was a message from her. She’d written an address, date, and said Rose needed to be with him.

GINGER

Ginger hunched down next to Xavier outside the warehouse. The text from Brittany had given them an address to a location in the warehouse district of Las Vegas. It’d also said to bring Rose, but he’d fought the decision tooth and nail. In the end, they’d compromised, and she was in the van with Casanova a block away. His friend promised to protect her.

Xavier pressed his finger to his ear. “What do you have for me, Lucas? He has the building sealed up tight.”

Lucas’s voice came through the com. “I already told you I can’t see inside. They do not have one fiber line in the building. Whatever is going on inside, the person doesn’t want anyone to know and I can’t access it until you get inside.”

Grim’s voice came through next. “In position, boss.”

The only streetlamp on the block illuminated the dark night. They had no clue what they were about to face when they opened the door.

Ginger swallowed past the lump in his throat and placed the small explosive device on the door. He wished his entire team were with him. They had shown up ready and willing, but Xavier put his foot down because the mission could cost them their military careers. Xavier allowed Casanova so he could guard Rose in the van but that was it.

Tyler was at Casper’s house for another night.

“Now,” Xavier said. He pulled out the small keypad Lucas gave him and hit the red button, and the explosive blew a hole in the door. “Go.”

Ginger pushed his way in, and raised his gun. Team two was on the other side.

The place was empty. Grim and Marcus stood across from them.

The outside of the building said it was a bakery, so he expected at least one crate on the ground.

“What the fuck?” Casanova’s voice came through the comm.

Gunfire erupted outside, and Ginger’s heart dropped as he sprinted from the warehouse. They fell right into a trap. Tires squealed as he pumped his arms and headed back toward the van.

Two bodies lay on the ground. Casanova clutched his gut as blood poured from the wound.

Grim’s screams echoed through the street. She dropped to her knees. “You can’t die, you fucker. You made me fall in love with you.”

“You love…me?” Casanova hiccupped and blood trickled down the side of his face.

His eyes fluttered shut as Ginger held his hand over the wound. Casanova’s stomach wasn’t the only issue. The attacker had also run over Casanova’s leg. Xavier’s other man was dead in the street, his head turned too far to one side.
