“Baby,” Haze rumbled in my ear, wrapping his strong arms around my shoulders from behind.
“Brr,” I said, smoothing my hands over his freezing arms. He'd just come in from having a smoke, and the January chill clung to him.
“Maybe I should warm you up,” I teased, earning a low growl that truly made me shiver.
“Later,” Kane promised, stepping between my legs.
His hands settled possessively on my hips. “Right now, we're celebrating not having to look over our shoulders anymore.”
I felt Haze tense slightly behind me, his arms tightening a fraction. I knew he still struggled with what had happened in the alley behind The Pit, but I meant what I'd said. I loved all of him, even his dark side that he tried to shield me from.
“Hey.” I glanced over my shoulder, meeting those intense green eyes. “I love you.”
His expression softened, and he pressed a kiss to my forehead. “Love you too, baby.”
“What about me?” Kane pouted playfully, though I could see the heat in his eyes.
I reached up, pulling him down for a quick kiss. “Love you, too.”
“Get a room!” Pop called out from his spot by the fireplace, making everyone laugh.
Kane suddenly released me, turning to face the room. “Hey!” he shouted, his voice cutting through the music and chatter. “Listen up!”
Everyone fell quiet, all eyes turning to us. My heart started racing when Kane turned back to me and took my hand in his.
“Everyone here knows that Nova is ours,” he started, his blue eyes intense as they locked with mine. “What you might not know is how she changed everything for me and Haze. Made us better men.”
Haze's arms tightened around my waist, his chin resting on my shoulder as Kane continued.
“Not sure how it happened, but she took a chance on us, and, Kitten…?” He stalled, a grin worthy of the Cheshire cat lighting up his face as Ghost appeared beside him with something black draped over his arm.
My breath caught in my throat.
Ghost was carrying a property cut like all the other old ladies wore.
Eyes darting back to Kane, I felt the tears starting to well up.
“So,” Kane said, taking the cut from Ghost. “Nova Long, will you be our old lady? Officially belong to me and Haze?”
The tears spilled down my cheeks as I nodded frantically. “Yes,” I managed to choke out. “Yes, of course, yes.”
Haze released me so Kane could lift me onto my feet. He held it up, showing me the back where it declared meProperty of Kane and Haze.
“Turn around, Kitten.”
Immediately, I spun around, smiling through my tears at Haze as Kane helped me slide it on.
It felt perfect.
Whistles pierced through the clubhouse as everyone cheered. Sophia was crying happy tears while Banner held her close, grinning. Rae whooped loudly from her spot on Ghost’s lap, and Pop raised his glass, a silent toast to our happiness.
“Welcome to the family, officially,” Dragon said, pulling me into a quick hug before passing me to Rae and Sophia, who were both waiting with open arms.
“About damn time,” Rae called out over the noise, making everyone laugh.
I turned back to my men—my new cut declaring to everyone that I belonged to them.
Kane's eyes were dark with possession, while Haze's expression held a tenderness that made my heart ache.
