“Baby,” I said, my voice rougher than I’d ever heard it. “I'm sor?—”

“Shut up,” she interrupted, launching herself off the couch and straight into my arms.

Dropping my face into the crown of her hair, I breathed her in.

“I was so scared. Not of you,” she added quickly. “Foryou.”

Kane moved behind her, his hand settling on my shoulder. “It's done now.”

Nova pulled back enough to look at my face, her fingers ghosting over my cheeks. “I love you,” she said firmly. “All of you. Even the parts you try to hide from me.”

I grunted.

Fuck.

“Love you too, baby.”

Chapter Eleven

Nova

One week later

The clubhouse was in full party mode. Music thumped through the speakers, the bass vibrating through the hard concrete floors beneath my feet as I watched the scene unfold around me.

“Here you go,” Ghost said, pressing a glass of wine into my hand with a wink. Ever since Rae had started calling me her little sister, Ghost had taken to treating me like family too.

“Thanks.” I smiled, taking a sip of the sweet red wine, and humming in approval. Wine was much more my speed.

Taking another sip, my eyes drifted to where Haze and Kane stood near the pool table with Banner, their heads bent together, clearly talking about something that must have been comical judging by the grin on Kane’s face.

It’d only been a few weeks since I’d jumped in headfirst and still my heart skipped whenever I looked at my guys.

“Still can't believe you tamed those two,” Rae said, sliding onto the barstool next to me. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she nodded toward the pool table. “Though I gotta say, they seem happier.”

Heat bloomed in my cheeks. “It’s more like they corrupted me.”

Rae threw her head back and laughed. “Honey, with the way Kane looks at you, I’d say you’re just fine being corrupted by those two.”

She wasn’t wrong.

As if hearing his name, Kane's eyes found mine from across the room. That predatory grin I loved spread across his face, making my insides melt.

“See what I mean?” Rae nudged me with her elbow.

“Leave the poor girl alone,” Sophia teased, waddling over to join us. Her hand rested on her swollen belly as she eased onto the stool on my other side. “Though she's not wrong, Nova. Those two are completely gone for you.”

I couldn't help but smile, remembering how gentle they'd both been with me this past week, especially Haze after what happened at The Pit. If anything, that night had only brought us closer.

“Mouse,” Banner called out to Sophia. “You need to be resting.”

“I'm fine,” Sophia protested, but Banner was already prowling over, the expression on his face saying that he meant business.

“Up,” he ordered, helping her to her feet. “The baby needs rest.”

“The baby is fine.” Sophia laughed softly, following behind him as he escorted her over to one of the oversized leather chairs.

Rae and I both sighed, loving how cute they were.
