“Well, go get some rest.” She patted my chest, and her eyes slightly widened. “Night, Gomez.”
Her cheeks turned pink as she gave me a small smile and walked away. I watched her hips sway side to side. The movement mesmerized me and this attraction was familiar. I don’t know what the hell that was with Riggs, but I didn’t want to find out. I hated Riggs and that was the only emotion I was going to feel toward him.

Another loss in the books. As I was standing by the tunnel exit, I could see the exhaustion and the defeat in the players. The last game they had almost won, but Toronto had annihilated them tonight. Six to zero. I needed content, but taking pictures of them when they looked like this felt wrong.
“Daddy!” A small squeal brought my attention to a small blonde boy running down the hallway.
He launched himself at the team’s Captain, Jeff Ravino, and he caught him, bringing an enormous smile to his face. Walker was the cutest kid, and I loved seeing them together.
“Hey, bud,” he said as I took his stick away, raising my camera to ask permission.
He gave me a nod.
“You were amazing,” his little boy said, patting his cheeks. “You lost, but I saw your hard work.”
“Thanks, little dude.” Cap chuckled as I took a picture from behind, hiding his son's face.
His son turned around as he heard the camera’s shutter and as soon as he saw me, he hugged his dad’s face, and I couldn’t help but take a picture of it.
“I’ll email these to you and if it's ok, I'd love to post this,” I said, scrolling back to show him the first photo I took.
“That should be fine, but can we ask Heather first?” He looked over my shoulder and I turned around to see his wife walking up to us.
“Hi, how are you?” I waved to his wife.
“Great,” she said, rubbing her stomach and my eyes widened.
I wanted to say something, but I didn’t want to spoil their news. She smiled confirming my suspicion and I hugged her giving her a quiet congrats.
“We were thinking of maybe doing a photoshoot with you,” she said, pulling away with a huge smile.
“Of course! You tell me when and where,” I said, looking over at Ravino patting his shoulder.
“We thought it might be good for the team,” he said, and it made me like Cap even more.
He was the perfect leader for the team; he understood what was at stake. The team was lucky to have him.
“I will only do it if you are a hundred percent ok with it,” I said. “It will be good for the team, but I want it to be what you want to do, not what you think we need.”
“We’ve talked about it, and we are ok with it,” Heather said, looking at Ravino and it was so full of love.
“Ok,” I said excitedly. “Give me a date and time that works for you and if you need help for inspo pictures we can peruse Pinterest or you can send me themes.”
“That sounds great,” Heather said, taking Walker from Ravino. “Go change and we can get home, I’m exhausted.”
“You got it,” he said, leaning in for a kiss before he walked away. I got a few shots of the guys walking down the hall with most of their heads down and it gave me a great idea for a post.
Heather and I chatted for a bit as I held onto Walker for her. It was a late game and he was exhausted. It was one of the fewlate games they came to, and the poor guy knocked out on my shoulder. For only being four, he was heavy and I’m glad I didn’t let Heather hold him.
Ravino came out quickly as we were looking at Pinterest on her phone for ideas. He took his sleepy son and I waved goodbye. I went to the small office I had down here, so I didn’t have to go back upstairs. I took everything I needed to do edits and anything else I needed even though I was off tomorrow. I looked at my watch, seeing I only had forty-five minutes to get home and get ready for my second job. Thankfully most of the traffic had dissipated as I walked out. A few people lingered, but the security here was amazing.
“Oh, fuck you, Riggs,” Gomez snarled.
“Don’t be such a brat,” Riggs snapped.
