His breath teased the skin behind my ear, and I shivered before I could stop myself.
I looked up at Sawyer, and he smiled, slow and predatory. My cock twitched. I looked away quickly before I embarrassed myself again. Brody set a beer on the bar in front of me, and I tipped the bottle to my lips and drank deeply, as much to distract myself as to wet my suddenly too-dry mouth.
“Hey.” Jett bounced over to us. “I’m going back to Sam’s. I’ll be home in the morning.”
“Okay,” I said, taking another drink. “Have fun.”
He grinned. “Always.”
I caught Brody looking up and watching Jett’s back as he and Sam made their way to the exit. Had he always watched Jett, and we just never noticed, or was that a new development?
“Do you know that guy?” Sawyer asked, frowning.
I nodded. “He lives in The Square. One of his roommates works with Alistair.”
“Okay.” He took a long swig from his beer, while I did my best to ignore that warmth building in my chest at Sawyer showing concern for Jett’s safety. On more than one night out, Alistair and I had taken turns making sure Jett didn’t do anything too crazy. Maybe Sawyer had been the right fit after all.
He set his beer on the bar, then grasped my hand. “Come on.”
I set my beer down next to his and followed him onto the dance floor, but this time, he didn’t let go of my hand. Instead, he dragged me closer and turned me around so my back was pressed up against his chest. He gripped my hip with one hand, and as we swayed to the pounding music, his dick ground against my ass. I lit up inside as if someone had flipped a switch. I groaned, thankful for the music drowning me out, let my head tip back against his shoulder and closed my eyes. He must have leaned closer because I could feel the warmth of his breath brushing against the side of my neck.
Maybe it was the booze or pure and simple lust, but at that moment, I wanted to drag Sawyer out of there and…fuck, I didn’t even know, but whatever I wanted would definitely end with both of us coming.
What the hell was I thinking? He was my roommate, and I barely knew him. Hell, I still wasn’t sure I even liked him.
I jerked away from him, almost stumbling over my own feet and whirling to face him. He was watching with a bemused smile.
“You okay?”
I nodded. “Bathroom.”
I bolted before he could say anything else, pushing my way through the crowd to the bathroom down a hallway from the main part of the bar. The bathrooms in The Dunes were a long way from palatial. Brody did what he could to keep them clean and in decent condition, but past midnight on a Friday night, he was fighting a losing battle. At least there was no one else in there.
I stumbled over to the sink and splashed cold water on my face. I’d obviously had too much to drink if I’d actually entertained the idea of doing anything with Sawyer. Hell, I hadn’t just entertained the idea. I’dwantedto do something, I’d crave it, the idea of his hands moving over me, his mouth.
A low moan came from somewhere in the bathroom, and I jumped. My gaze lifted to the mirror and the line of stalls behind me. The doors were open on all of them except for one. Under the stall door, I could see someone from the waist down, their knees folded under them and another set of legs on either side of them.
Someone was clearly getting sucked off.
For a split second, I imagined myself leading Sawyer into one of the stalls, dropping to my knees and taking his cock out of his jeans… then making a complete and utter ass of myself.
My face burned at the thought, and I gave myself a mental shake. I left the bathroom and returned to the bar, glancing at the floor. Sawyer danced with another group of men, indifferent to whether or not I was there.
Maybe he’d just been dancing and I’d imagined something more. Rather than joining him, I made my way to the bar and ordered a bottle of water. My throat burned from having to yell to be heard over the music all night and I really needed to sober up.
I took a drink from the bottle of water Brody had set in front of me before moving on to the next customer. The cold liquid was like a balm against my scratchy throat.
“Hey,” a voice said from beside me. I turned to find Tyler standing beside me, looking sexier than anyone should ever have a right to.
“Hi,” I said. “I didn’t know you were here tonight.”
Why did I always sound as though part of my brain had ceased to function whenever I tried to talk to him?
“I knew you were here,” he said, his gaze moving over me from head to foot, then back up again. “I saw you up there.” He nodded to the dance floor. “You looked amazing.”
My face heated. “That’s my roommate. We were just messing around.”
“Yeah?” He leaned closer, his mouth just inches from mine. “Looked pretty good for messing around.”
