“He loves me,” she replies while hanging the towel over the back of a chair and laying down on the other side of Duffy.

I prepare to save her ass if Duffy decides to hand out his form of punishment, but he starts purring instead. Within seconds, he’s stretched out on his back enjoying his tummy rubs from Taja. “Guess it’s me he’s protecting from the whores now,” Taja states smugly.

“Reformed whore!” I shout back.

“Better be true or I’ll give Duffy and Suki free rein on you,” Taja threatens with a laugh.

“Make him leave so we can get some sleep.”

“You make him leave and good luck with that,” Taja says.

I try. I lose. Duffy spends the rest of the night cuddled up to Taja between our bodies.

After my shower in the morning, Taja graciously applies antibiotic cream and bandages to my many wounds, though the wench laughs the entire time.

“He was going to claw my door down, so I had no choice,” Gunner tells me with a grin.
