“Seriously? Austin, that’s amazing. Thank you!”
“You’re not mad?”
“Mad? You kidding? This is great. With me spending most of my days here, I don’t get out to meet many people around town. I just need to find a commercial kitchen to borrow for a larger event like that. Unless she wants to have people come up to the truck and order.” He waved. “I’ll work it out with her.”
I blinked at him. I had thought surely he would be minimally peeved at my interference, but he radiated happiness. He kept surprising me in all the best ways.
“I’ve been thinking about some food to go with your beer. Want to come over this week and do another taste test?”
I licked my lips, remembering exactly what tastes I got to test last time I was at his place. His gaze dropped to my mouth.
“Yeah.” I cleared my throat to smooth the rasp in my voice. “That’s great. Tell me when, where, and what to bring.”
“Thursday whenever you’re done at the brewery. And just bring your mouth. That’s all I need.”
