Jace stopped. Buster Brown? He looked over his shoulder and saw Avery’s gaze on the shelf that held his other stuffies. The only one on the bed was Jared. Jace checked out the stuffies before spotting the puppy he’d gotten Avery. He grabbed Jared then picked up the dog.
Avery bounced on his toes. He must have picked right. Jace hadn’t known that Avery had settled on a name for the chocolate lab stuffed animal, but he was pleased.
He held out both stuffies and Avery gathered them against his chest. He was so fucking adorable standing in his jammies with a binkie in his mouth and arms full of his blanket and stuffed animals.
“Come on, my sweet boy,” Jace waved toward the door. He kept his hand on the small of Avery’s back until they reached the couch. “Climb up and Daddy will be right back.”
“K.” Avery went knees first on the couch cushion before flopping down on his butt. He giggled and wiggled. Yeah, his boy was going to enjoy wearing the diapers. Jace had always heard that many of the littles enjoyed the fabric cupping their cock and the way Avery moved made Jace suspect he was very much interested in the feelings.
“Behave,” Jace chided gently. “No playing with your little cock. That’s Daddy’s to play with.”
Avery let out a long moan which was not anything like the painful ones earlier.
Chuckling, Jace headed into the kitchen. He had a pitcher of orange water made up and it would be perfect until Mitch and Grant could arrive with the Gatorade he’d asked them to pick up. Avery had to be dehydrated.
He chose one of the bottles instead of a sippy cup and filled it with the natural-flavored water. Jace had been drinking natural fruit waters since college and he had never been as glad he’d stuck with it as he was right then. The vitamin C and water would go a long way to helping Avery’s immune system fight the flu.
Placing the pitcher back in the fridge, he checked the time. His friends would arrive soon and he wanted Avery settled before. He suspected that the more little Avery felt, the easier it would be to meet Grant and see Mitch again.
He left the kitchen light on but turned the lights in the living room down. Avery scooted over to allow Jace to sit before climbing up into his lap. Jace pulled the blanket from the back of the couch over Avery then picked up the remote.
“Thank you, Daddy.” Avery rested his cheek against Jace’s chest, Jared and Buster Brown under his chin, lily in his hand, and easily accepted the bottle. He hummed a little when he got the first bit of water.
Jace held him tight as his boy started to watch his show while drinking his bottle.

AVERY
The show was almost over when a knock came at the front door. Avery stiffened and jerked.
“It’s okay,” Jace soothed. “It’s just Mitch and Grant. I asked them to pick up a few things since I didn’t want to leave you.”
“But…” He glanced down. He’d finished the bottle, but he was little.
“Remember, these are my friends,” Jace said. “Your friends if you’ll let them be. Grant is a Daddy Dom too and Mitch is a boy. They won’t make fun of you or tease you. They understand.”
Avery knew that in his mind, but he was wearing a diaper! A freaking diaper!
“And you’re under the blanket,” Jace added. “They might see your shirt but won’t know what you’re wearing under your jammies.”
That was true. A key in the lock had him close to panicking.
“Mitch has a key. I didn’t know if we would be down here or upstairs in bed. Since I didn’t plan to leave you, I told them to come in if we didn’t answer.”
That made sense. Maybe if he didn’t acknowledge them, they’d pretend he wasn’t there either. He ducked down and pulled the blanket up to his chin. He’d pull it over his head, but there were baby sea lions on the screen and he wanted to see them.
The front door opened quietly but the babies on TV were swimming. They’d got a new enclosure and they were trying it out for the first time. Oh, they were so cute as they followed their mama around.
Avery patted the couch and blanket until his palm landed on his binkie. He picked it up and shoved the nipple into his mouth as he continued to watch his show. Jace was still running his fingers in Avery’s hair, which helped with the headache he’d had.
It wasn’t until the commercial that Avery noticed the sounds in the kitchen had stopped and footsteps were coming toward him.Oh, shit!
“Hey.” A big man whoAvery didn’t know stood behind the couch. “Everything okay now?”
“Yeah, man,” Jace replied. “Thanks. I just don’t want to leave Avery with him being so sick.”
Avery sank deeper under the blanket.
