I even told Chandra not to say anything to Remy. She said she kept her word, but I felt as if she said something because Remy had been asking a ton of questions lately about my dad.

“How is your dad, by the way?”

“I’m not heartless, Porsha, so I am concerned about you and your family.”

“We’re taking things day by day, hoping we’ll find a donor soon.”

“Have anyone from your family been tested?”

“My dad doesn’t want us to, but my mom and I decided to. We scheduled an appointment for tomorrow.”

I stared at her, confused to what the hell was going on. “Wait, what?”

“I said I found a donor for your dad.” I was about to speak, but Renee held her hand up. “Before you even ask, I know his blood type, so it’s perfectly fine.”

“I still would like to know how you obtained his information.”

“His doctor is also my best friend.”

I raised an eyebrow, a bit pissed to hear this. “Wow, she just bypassed the doctor/patient confidentiality.”

“Good thing she did, or your dad would be dying.”

“What are you getting at? Because I’m sure you want me to do something so my dad could receive a new liver.”

“Yes, there is something I would need for you to do. I want you to stop seeing Remy.”

“My feelings have nothing to do with you, sweetie. I know that you’re not on the same level as my son. He has goals, while you’re just on the sidelines, not knowing what the hell you want out of life. “

“That’s not true. I have a lot going on right now.”

“That shouldn’t stop you from achieving your goals. You’re not ambitious enough, and you’ll hold Remy back. So, if you agree to walk out of Remy’s life, I will give the go ahead for your father to receive his new liver. I’ll even pay for the surgery because we both know that the insurance will only cover so much for any procedure.”

“Are you kidding me right now? You can’t do that. How would I even explain this to Remy?”

“I’m sure you’ll find a way. How about you just say you’re not ready to be in a relationship? That Remy is focused on his new business and doesn’t have time for you. Anything so you can walk away.”

“From what I know, it seems like you’re jealous because Mr. Delgado didn’t reciprocate your feelings. He only seen you as a friend.”
