“Here she is, sir. Will you be needing anything else?”

“You can leave,” Enzo said, gaze back on Eve.

When Giorgio turned to leave, Eve tried to follow him.

“Not you,” Enzo said.

Giorgio kept walking, not looking back. Eve paused.

“Turn around,” Enzo ordered.

Instead of doing as she was told, she called out to Giorgio, “Your don told you to turn around, Gio.”

Gio?When had she become so close with his fucking guard?

“Gio!” she yelled.

“I’m ordering you to turn around, woman,” Enzo growled. “Giorgio is going home.”

“Home?” She spun around. “Why did you send my guard away?”

“He’smyguard,” Enzo told her, barely holding back his anger.

“Yeah, but I’m the one he’s supposed to be watching over. Tell him to come back.”

This motherfucker!

“Your balls must be bigger than mine,” Enzo told her.

“Huh?” A frown marred her beautiful face.

“You’re talking to me as if your balls are bigger than mine.”

Her eyes widened when she caught on to what he was saying. Shrugging her shoulders, she told him, “Maybe they are.”

“We’re about to find out.” He stepped back, creating room for her to enter his bedroom. “Come inside.”

“Inside your bedroom?”

“Now,” he told her, not planning to repeat himself.

“But I have my own room...”

“If I have to ask again, we’re going to have a problem.”

With a roll of her eyes, she slowly entered the bedroom and jumped when the door shut behind them.

“Why are you locking the door?” she asked.

That was none of her concern. Ignoring her question, he headed to his nightstand. Enzo pulled his phone from his nightstand drawer and checked the security system. On the screen, he saw Giorgio leaving the house.

After the door closed behind Giorgio, Enzo pressedlock doorson his phone. All of the doors in the guest house were now closed and locked. He activated the alarm system in the guest house before checking on the main house.

Confident that everything was how it should be, he placed his phone back in the nightstand. Turning slowly, he faced his little witness and found her staring at his nightstand. When she realized he was looking at her, she started staring at the wall.

“You’re very observant,” Enzo told her.

“Thank you,” she replied.
