“Not yet, Reid,” she murmurs.

She’s reading my mind.

“Why?” I ask with a chuckle. “Do you have something in mind?”

“Oh, I have a few things in mind. It just depends on the amount of time we have.”

I kiss her like I’m trying to steal her breath, and damn if I’m not successful. “All the time in the world,” I tell her.

We both know it’s not true.

I break away long enough to catch the steamy smile she gives me. “Good.”

With that, she reverses our positions so that I’m the one with my back against the tree, with Tasha in front of me on her knees. In one single move, her supple hands wrapped around the base of my cock as she works me the way I worked her.

“You already did this for me,” I tell her.

At least, I’m trying to tell her.

The words come out garbled and not fully formed.

“What? So we’re keeping score now?” Tasha clicks her tongue. “That’s not the way it works.”

She takes me deep inside her mouth until I hit against the back of her throat and my head drops back, lungs seizing and the rest of me going white hot.

I won’t last.

I won’t be able to make it through to do the things I want to do to her. She’s going to make me explode and—

Tasha breaks away with a gasp, her lips popping as she pulls back from me. She continues to work the shaft until I’m grunting and thrusting my hips without awareness of my own body.

“Do you like this?” she asks. Her smile turns into a smirk. “You don’t need to answer that. I know you do. I—”

I cut off her screech with a searing kiss as I haul her back to her feet. My fingertips dig into her arms, and I don’t need to look down to know her feet dangle off the ground.

“No more playing,” I grind out against her. I shift so that my arm is around her waist with her breasts tantalizingly close once again. “Now, Tash. I need you now.”

She moans against me. “Are you sure no one is going to see us?”

Her forehead drops to mine as I place her hands on the tree trunk, dragging her ass out with her legs wide so that I can position against her entrance. I squeeze her hips, loving the softness, keeping her in place. “No one is going to see us,” I assure her. “It’s just the two of us out here.”

“Still, just to be sure…”

She closes her eyes in concentration, and the air around us wavers. It shimmers and warps before settling back into place.

“There,” she finishes. “Just a little extra precaution.”

“You used your invisibility to shield us both?”

“Well, why not?”

This woman. Thisfuckingwoman. She sends her magic out in a wave, and I wonder how she’s able to cast it so easily now, of all times.

What changed? Her invisibility floats down around us, and although the rest of the world still looks the same, I know her magic has worked to cloak us. How long she can manage it, now… that’s another story.

And I wonder if I can distract her to the point where her spell shatters.

Call it a personal goal.
