“It’s going to hurt for a while and there’s nothing I can do about it. Putting on my shirt, showering, stretching, and even moving my arms up above my head makes my body hurt, but I’m not going to stop living until I’m one hundred percent healed. I need to live and you need to let go of the guilt.” She nods inmy chest. Amelia lifts her head off my chest and I see the tears falling from her eyes. I unwrap my arms from around her waist to wipe the tears. “I’m all in baby.” Amelia nods as I lean down and kiss her. Her arms around my neck as she pulls me closer to her like she can’t get enough of me has my dick hardening. I lift her up by her thighs to place her on the desk to take her, but her phone interrupts us. I groan out loud with frustration.

“This better be good.” Amelia snaps into the phone not knowing who is on the other end of the phone.

“Luka’s on the move.” Joker tells me. “Michelle’s phone is on, too. They’re together. They were at Tommy’s place.”

“Keep following them and let me know where they end up. We might need to leave before midnight.” Amelia hangs up the phone. “Come on. We need to get the guns ready. I also need to get in touch with Tripline to see how she’s doing.” I pout. “I promise after we get Tommy, I’ll make it to you.”

“We will be fine. I can wait. I’m not going anywhere and neither are you. Let’s go make a game plan. Smitty says I’m pretty good with the sniper rifle.” I wink at her, making her smile. I don’t want to be sitting here waiting for her to come home to me. I want to be there on the front line protecting all these women who have accepted me. We walk out of the office.

“All better now?” Derby teases us.

“No. Someone interrupted us.” TJ gags again. I knew he was sitting there, which makes it even funnier. Amelia hits him on the back of the head, reminding him of how many times she’s seen his ass in the air during his high school days. Smitty calls me over to check out the long guns for me to pick up and get a feel for them. We spend the next two hours going over the guns.

“All right you hooligans, clean off the tables. I have my lasagna down and ready for you. You need to eat something before wreaking havoc.” He laughs. The women pick up guns and put them in Church and lock the door. Since there are kids aroundthey try to keep things cleaned up. I offer to help bring out the food and we all work together.

Chapter Thirty-Seven

Medusa

Standing in my bathroom after a shower with Noah, I’m doing my hair. I love when I’m getting ready for battle. I put my hair into my signature dragon braid. The red hair flowing and it makes me ready. The black t-shirt, black jeans, and motorcycle boots are on and I walk out of the bathroom to see Noah wearing the same outfit as me. He smiles at me and I notice his eyes darken with desire. I bite my lip, knowing we’re on the same page.

“If we didn’t need to kick some ass right now, I’d fuck you so hard right now.”

“Later.” I kiss his chest. I move to my desk chair and grab my cut with the Valkyrie MC logo. It has President on the front, with Medusa under it.

“Are you ready?” I ask him, as I’m terrified he might not make it home with us. I don’t know if I could live without him.

“I’m ready. I’ll have your back, I promise. Smitty trained me and drilled a lot of stuff into me. You and the girls are not alone.”

“I love you.” The words are out of my mouth before I could stop them.

“I love you too, Merida.” He whispers before capturing my lips. I tug at his t-shirt, trying to bring him closer to me. The alarm on my phone goes off. “Let’s go.” He grabs my hand as we walk out of my room. Joker is there in the middle of the room, handing out comms for all of us. She’s going to be in the van hacked into the security cameras guiding us. Joker is also going to monitor the scanner for the cops being called on us. She pulls out at tablet calling Noah and Smitty over to review the points they need to be at to take out the people who are guarding the outside or high above on the buildings. Tripline is double checking all of the bombs before putting them into the totes we use for transporting. DaVinci has the flash bombs and chemicals to remove our DNA from the scene. I motion for TJ to follow me away from the group.

“Are you okay with the plan for Michelle?” We talked earlier, and it didn’t end up being productive. It was more arguing than listening to each other.

“You’re in charge. We follow your lead. I hate it has come to this, but she’s family. I’m never going to be okay if we have to kill her. It will haunt me, but if it needs to be done, then it needs to be done.” TJ swallows hard, trying to hold back his emotions. I wipe at the tears on my cheeks. “I know you’re feeling it, too.” We hug before we hear Bubbles asking if everyone is ready.

“Are you sure you want to go with us?” I need to ask again because I’m nervous about losing my brother, just not Noah. He nods. As I make it to the women, they all look at me. I should make a speech. “Tommy DeMarco not only took our dad,” I motion between TJ and me, “but he took our childhood. This man used our parents, got them hooked on drugs, we were left to our own growing up. We lost so much because of this man. Noah almost lost his life recently. Now he has Michelle but not sure what she has to do with all of this and I’m hoping she’s a victim too. The alternative scares me.” I sigh. “Today we go in there not knowing what we will find. We are going to be smart about this and work together as a team.”

“I’m going to be in control of the cameras. I’ve already recorded a lot so I can play it and no one would be the wiser.” Joker speaks up. “We all have comms that no one can hack, I made sure of it.”

“Smitty and Noah are going to be up here with Duchess and Derby as the four of them are the best on sniper rifles. They’ll make sure to take out everyone on the outside.” Tripline begins talking as we all stare at the map that Joker had made. It’s the arial view of the area. “Derby and Noah here.” She marked with a couple of exes. “Smitty and Duchess here. From the footage I’ve been watching with Joker, there are about six people on the outside. Four on the ground and two up here. Derby and Noah, you’ll have to take them out to get on this perch.” Noah nods as he listens with such determination.Am I doing the right thing letting him be a part of this mission?

Chapter Thirty-Eight

Medusa

We are waiting for the moment from Derby to let us know the men outside are taken care of. My leg bounces as I wait impatiently.

“Are you okay?” Bubbles asks me. I nod. She raises her eyebrow. “Are you worried about Noah and TJ being in the thick of things?”

“Yes and also Michelle. I haven’t been able to get over the fact that she could be involved with Tommy. I know she knew about Tommy but not that he killed our dad. I kept that from her. Shewas young enough to need that relationship with a father figure. Has he been working her all this time?”

“Oh honey.” Bubbles pulls me into a hug. “You need to stop thinking about Michelle. You will lose focus in there and could lose your life or someone else’s life.” She sighs as she looks around the group. “We will deal with Michelle after we kill Tommy. He is our focus.”

“I’ll try to do that but if I see her, I don’t know what I’ll do.” My voice breaks.

“We will take her back to the shed. No one will touch her. She will be treated as a hostile prisoner until we know what we’re working with okay?” I nod, wiping the tears that fell while Bubbles brought me back to the reality. “She’s family and we’ll take it one step at a time.” I grab her tightly hugging her. I whisper thank you before releasing her. “I got your back.”
