Sebastian rises from the chair, then disappears as Yiannis takes his place.

“Balthazar and Xander, I want you two to watch each other’s backs. I don’t want a repeat of what happened with me and Jeroen. The two of you are so much like us when we were you age. He was my brother and I lost him because he was trying to protect me. He saw what was coming when I didn’t and for that, I lost my best friend and brother.”

The pain in his eyes causes the wells of mine to tear up. To this day, Yiannis has never gotten over losing my Father and the fact that Father was taken away, protecting him, still weighs heavy on his heart.

“Don’t worry Father, I will make sure these knuckle heads live to see another day, fore I am my brother’s keeper and not one motherfucker will get close enough to see the white of their teeth before I lay them down,” Alistair professes, pulling out his gun, then cocking it.

Chapter 19

Sabre

Iwoke up this morningfeeling renewed after my chat with Xander last night. Good Lord, the sight of his dick and the veins running distinctly down his shaft had me wanting him here in the bed with me. I guess it was a good thing he was at the condo because, there was no way we would’ve made it four days for me to recover. I must admit, it did feel good to be in control. To watch him twitch and squirm for me to lower the camera was quite empowering. I know I’ll have to pay for it later, but at that moment Xander was at my mercy and I loved every minute of it.

Knock, knock, knock. “Sabre, GeeGee has breakfast ready,” Devyn says from the other side of the bedroom door.

“I’ll be right out,” I shout back as I finish putting lotion on my arms.

Picking up one of Xander’s t-shirts from the bed, I slide it on. Since we weren’t going anywhere, I decided to wear it and a pair of leggings. I don’t have any clients to follow up with today, so it will be another day of laying around and watching television with the ladies.

As I slide on my plush house shoes, I grab my phone. The thought of calling my parents run through my mind. A part of me wants to ignore the notion but a huge part wants me to see how they are doing with everything going on. Sighing hard, I sit on the bed and dial their number.

It begins to ring, and on the fourth ring someone picks up.

“Hello,” my mother answers.

“Hey, Ma. It’s me, Sabre.”

“Sabre, girl where the hell are you at? Greg has been looking all over for you.”

I sigh, thinking,Damn she can even ask if I’m okay or how I’m doing?

“I’m fine, Momma. I was just calling to see how you and Daddy are doing,” I respond, hoping she would give me some type of motherly return.

“How the hell do you think we’re doing? You’re gone, Joshua has fallen off the face of the earth, and because of your shit, Greg has limited his interactions with us. We got bills, Sabre, and who do you think is going to pay them?”

My nose crinkles as I look at the phone, then place it back to my ear. “Um, you and Daddy.”
