“Yes, please. I promise there is more than meets the eye,” Thing One adds.

They get out, but not before Thing One takes the keys out of the ignition, then puts them in his pocket.

“Well, shit. His ass took the keys, so we couldn’t leave if we tried,” GeeGee gripes.

“So, what do we do?” Nina asks.

GeeGee’s silent for a moment before replying, “Althaia, you have your gun?”

“I sure do” she confirms, patting her purse.

“Good. Nina and Janae, I know the two of you have yours. The four of us will get out first, the rest of you stay behind us. If there is some foul shit here, we’re shooting anything that ain’t right, then, the Double Mint Twins. I know they work with Mike, but at this point, I don’t trust nobody.”

We agree to her plan as they secure their guns on them. When the four of them are out of the van, we follow suit. Thing One and two are standing at the backdoor of the shack, waiting for us.

GeeGee and the others stand ready for anything to pop off when the brothers turn towards the door. Thing One pulls a device out of his cargo pocket, then types in a code. Our mouths drop when the door swings open.

“Follow me, ladies,” he says, stepping in.

GeeGee whispers to Janae, who nods her head, then goes to the back of the line. Thing Two smirks as GeeGee enters first. I let the others go before me, wanting to pick up the rear in case Jane needed my help. I swallow hard as it’s my time to go in, I look over my shoulder at Janae who nods her at me. Taking a calming breath, I step forward. There were no screams coming from the inside, so that made me feel a little better. At least no one is in there attacking the ladies and even if there was, I would’ve heard gun shots from GeeGee, Althaia, and Nina.

On the inside of the shack is a small hallway that leads to some stairs, going down. What kind of shit was this? I spin on my heels when I hear the door close behind me.

“I’d feel a lot better if you walked in front of me,” Janae tells Thing Two. He shrugs his shoulders before walking ahead of her. Putting some distance between us, I make it to the stairs, then begin to descend.

Oh shit,I think as I clear the last step. Thing One was definitely right about looks can be deceiving because I’m greeted by a huge open floor plan with a modernized living room with a full kitchen. Surrounded by it were several doors I could only assume lead to bedrooms, bathrooms, or some other type of rooms.

“Oh, wow,” leaves me.

“Wow, indeed,” Janae echoes.

Thing Two walks over to join his brother. “As we told you ladies, you are safe here. The kitchen is fully stocked and each of the rooms,” he points to the doors. “have their own en suite bathrooms. That door there,” he then points to the one behind me and Nina. “is for the game room and that one,” he points to the one to the far left. “is the movie room.” He then walks over to the counter in the kitchen where three walkie talkie devices sit. “These are the satellite phones. You can use them to call your loved ones without your calls being traced. My brother and I will either be upstairs or in the monitor room, doing surveillance.”

“Thank you, boys,” GeeGee says as they head towards the stairs.

“You’re welcome,” they oblige in unison.

“I’ll make sure one of the girls bring you some food,” GeeGee states, offering an olive branch.

“Much obliged, ma’am,” Thing One smiles as he and his brother disappear up the stairs.

Well, this wasn’t the Four Seasons, but for right now it will be our home until Xander and the men come for us. I pray that will be soon, because I don’t know how much more of this I can take.
