Sis did the damn thing with the new layout. The section we’re in, is raised higher than the main floor, giving us a full view of the club. There’s three other VIP sections along the other walls and are fully occupied and roped off from everyone else. The Deejay has his booth in the far right corner, turning out the latest hits. Three large bars sit in the other three corners, with two bartenders behind each. Each table and chairs are filled with patrons, having a good time.
Sitting on the edge of the couch, I sip from my champagne flute as I watch the crowd. Nina has taken the ladies to show them where the bathroom is, then to see her new office.
“See any of your exes out there? I don’t want any shit like at Elite to pop off,” Zar laughs as he sits next to me.
“Ha-ha, very funny and if they’re out there, they better keep their asses hidden in the crowd,” I return, smiling as my mind flashes back to Hailey putting Vixen in her place.
“Well, let’s hope so,” Zar states.
Turning to him, I ask, “What about you, you might have some out there too. Hell, I think I saw Chrystal lurking around.” I smirk as Zar tilts his head to the side. Chrystal was a chick he used to mess around with. She was here at Selena’s birthday party, and when Zar told her he couldn’t give her what she wanted, she had a tantrum, and stormed off.
“I hope her ass is here, so she can see that me and my fiancé are happily in love,” He says, raising his flute to me. I chuckle as I clink my glass with his, then we take a sip.
“There the girls go,” Zar observes.
Swiveling back around, I see them making their way through the crowd. Nina and Janae are greeting customers, I guess they were regulars from before. My eyes go straight to my beautiful wife. She and Sabre are laughing about something when a guy grabs her hand. I growl with a frown, at the audacity of another man touching what’s mine.
“Calm down, killer,” Zar teases, bumping my elbow.
Hailey says something to the guy, then pulls her hand away. She turns to leave but he seizes it again. She moves her head to the side when he leans in closer to speak to her.
Slamming the glass on the table, I stand, heading for the stairs.
“Fuck,” I hear Zar say behind me.
Pushing through the crowd, I stalk towards them. Janae’s eyes widen as she sees me coming. She starts tapping Nina on her shoulder, then points at me. Nina quickly turns around.
“Dude, you really need to let her hand go,” she says to the guy as I walk up.
“Exactly! I just told you I’m married, and very much not interested,” Hailey adds, tugging her hand.
I reached around her, wrapping my hand around his wrist, squeezing hard enough for him to let her hand go.
“My wife told you she’s married, you should’ve respected that and left her the fuck alone, but now you have to deal with me,” I hiss, shoving his arm away from me.
“Baby, it’s okay,” Hailey rasps, patting my chest as she gives the guy an angry look.
I move her to the side, then behind me, as two guys come up to the side of the asshole.
“Terry, you alright over here,” the first guy asks, staring me down.
“Yeah Terry, you alright over here,” I echo as Zar, Xander, Frankie, Hendrix, Mike, Lethal, Venom, Blade, and Tech flank my sides.
Terry swallows hard as he takes in all of us. I’m sure I could’ve taken him and his friends by myself, but it felt good to have Zar and the guys standing with me, showing solidarity.
“Yeah, I’m good. Just a misunderstanding,” Terry stammers, before leaving them standing there. I cock my head to the side, daring them to start some shit. When they realize we weren’t going to back down, the pussies turn tail just like Terry.
“Can we have one night out without you getting into some shit,” Xander jokes, nudging my shoulder.
“I doubt it,” I laugh, before taking Hailey over to the bar so she could go behind it to wash that motherfucker’s germs from her hands.
We put that bullshit behind us as we partied into the wee hours of the night, finally leaving when ‘Last Call’ was announced over the speakers. All in all, everyone had a blast, no one got the shit beat out of them or ended up dead, and we were looking forward to doing it again.
