“Uh, Olivia. She’s back in town for work and we crossed paths. She wanted to know how we’re doing, that’s all. Are you hungry?”

I watched as he walked to the kitchen and opened the fridge, and after a while of silence, I frowned and got up to walk up to him.

“Olivia…as in your ex Olivia?” I asked.

He was acting strange.

He didn’t look at me.

“Ezra,” I said, hoping he would talk to me.

“We just talked, Juno.” Finally, his eyes met mine, and I couldn’t ignore the honesty lingering in his eyes.

Why was I jealous?

I knew Ezra loved me, and he’s been over Olivia for a while now.

Actually, for a long while.

Still, there was something he didn’t want to tell me.

Let it go, Juno.

I shook any bad thoughts off and smiled. “Yes, I’m hungry,” I told him, letting him know that we didn’t have to talk about her anymore.

Juno

I missed them all so much.

Now that it was finally here, I soaked in every single second I had with them.

After we had Ezra’s self-cooked dinner, Mom and Aggie sat down on the couch with a glass of champagne in their hands, talking to Ezra’s parents.

“They seem to really like each other,” Ezra whispered as he came back from the living room, standing next to me in the kitchen.

I smiled up at him and nodded, then turned back to the cake on the counter I managed to bake this morning.

It turned out pretty good, and that way I wasn’t all too useless while Ezra handled everything else.

“I’m glad they do. Let’s not jinx it,” I told him, making him chuckle.

He placed his hand on my lower back as he leaned sideways against the counter next to me, and he leaned in closer to press his lips against the spot underneath my ear. “I can’t wait to have you all to myself again,” he whispered, nibbling at my earlobe.

I lifted my shoulder to let him know that it tickled, but he only pulled me closer and cupped my ass tightly.

“Ez…they’re gonna see,” I whispered, taking my eyes off the cake and looking into his.

“They’re busy talking about their gardens,” he muttered, trailing kisses down my neck.

I felt his tongue lick along my skin while his hand squeezed my ass again, massaging it.

I closed my eyes for a second, and because there was no way I could ever resist him, I found his lips with mine.

As much as I wanted the kiss to last, it wasn’t possible with five other people in the room.

“I’m all for some action…but I think you guys should kick us out before you take off each other’s clothes,” Pixie said as she walked into the kitchen.

She had been in the bathroom, and her voice was like a bucket of cold water.
