“Hey.” The blonde woman smiled.
“Hi. It sure is hot here,” I said.
“First time here?” Rick asked.
“Yes. I just got in.”
“I would suggest the beach as your first activity of the day. That’s where we’re heading,” Rick spoke as the three of us stepped onto the elevator.
“Good idea.” I smiled.
I stood there and watched them as they kissed. As much as I wanted to get a picture, I couldn’t. I followed behind them down to the beach. The white sand and turquoise water diverted my attention away from them, but only for a moment. After getting settled, Rick and his mistress walkedinto the ocean. Pulling my phone from my bag, I opened the camera, zoomed in, and started snapping pictures. Before long, they were far out, holding each other and kissing. I needed a better view, so I left my lounger and walked a few feet over. Standing at the shoreline, I switched to video mode, zoomed in, and started filming. When I heard a voice from behind, I turned around and wasn’t prepared for what I saw. Three men with muscular bodies, six-packs, ray-bans, and smiles that would knock any woman off their feet.
“What?” I asked.
“You’re blocking our view of the ocean, but we’re not mad about it,” one of them said.
“I bet you’re not.” I rolled my eyes, moving over because I knew they were staring at my ass.
I got what I needed and was out of here for now. I needed a drink and to check out my cabana by the pool.
I found cabana number eight and set my bag down. A lovely man walked over, welcomed me, and handed me a menu. I could get used to this.
“I’ll have a banana daiquiri. Tell the bartender not to go light on the rum.” I smiled.
Staring at the pool that stretched wide, I took in the waterfall and basket swings off to the side, along with the other cabanas and daybeds surrounding the area, with palm trees and green foliage that wouldn’t let me forget I was in the Caribbean. It was beautiful, and I had never felt so relaxed.
“Your drink, ma’am.” The server smiled, handing it to me.
“Thank you. Can I ask you a question?”
“Of course.”
“Why isn’t anyone here? This pool should be packed with people.”
“It’s our slow time.” He smiled.
“Ah. Well, good for me.” I grinned, sipping my daiquiri.
I stepped into the warm and tranquil pool as the sun beat down on me, swimming around and taking in the beauty of it all. Peacefulness fell upon me, and I enjoyed my swim until I heard a man’s voice.
Roman
“Let’s go check out our cabana and the pool,” I said to my brothers as I stood up from the beach lounger.
We grabbed our things and headed to the pool area.
“Which cabana are we?” Julian asked.
“Number nine,” Parker spoke.
We set our things down, and I smiled when I saw the woman from the beach in the pool. I scanned the area for a man—perhaps her husband or boyfriend—but she was the only one in the area besides us.
“How’s the water?” I shouted out to her.
She turned around and looked at me.
“I guess you’ll find out when you get in,” she said.
