I nodded, a smile tugging at my lips. "More than okay."

He grinned, pressing a soft kiss to my forehead. I lay there, panting, coming down from the most intense high I’d ever experienced.

Kage slowly pulled out of me, the loss of his cock making me whimper softly, a mix of pleasure and pain. "Stay here. I’m going to warm up the bath.”

I nodded, too overwhelmed to speak.

With a final kiss to my mouth, he rose. I watched him, my eyes tracing the lines of his sculpted back and the flex of his beautiful ass as he walked toward the bathroom.

The sound of running water filled the room, followed by the sweet scent of lavender as he poured some bubble bath into the tub. He really was something else.

He returned to the bed and offered me his hand. "Come on, gorgeous," he murmured, helping me to my feet. I felt a bit shaky, a tad dizzy, but with his arm wrapped securely around me, I felt safe.

The bath was heavenly, filled with frothy bubbles that sparkled under the dim bathroom lights. He guided me in, and I sank into the warm water with a sigh, the heat soothing my aching muscles. Kage brushed a stray strand of hair behind my ear, his fingers lingering on my skin. "I'll leave you to enjoy your bath. When you're done, I'll have dinner ready."

I stared at him, eyes wide. "You're cooking for me?" Kage was great at ordering in, but I’d never seen him actually cook something.

"Sure am. You've had a long day; you deserve it."

"Thank you," I whispered, my voice choked with emotion.

Kage bent down and kissed me, his tongue hungrily dancing with mine before he pulled away. "You're welcome, Camille. Enjoy your bath."

As he left, I sank deeper into the tub, letting the warm water embrace me. The ambiance was perfect, from the dimmed lights to the calming scent of lavender surrounding me. Yet, as the moments ticked by, my mind started to wander.

I was back in Italy, the air rich with the scent of lemon trees and blooming flowers. Ty and I were in a similar bathtub, our bodies intertwined, the water spilling over the sides from our playful splashing. We had talked about the future and the life we'd build together. We had spoken about marriage, about our wedding night. I had been so sure he’d be the one to take my virginity.

Guilt washed over me. I’d just shared the most intimate moments with Kage. He’d been amazing, attentive, caring, and passionate. And yet the past still had its grip on me.

I needed to move on, to let go of Ty once and for all. I also needed to settle things with Dante. In the meantime, I’d keep moving forward, relishing the memories I’d build with Kage until it was time to say goodbye.

Chapter 65

Camille

We were sitting together at a table in Kimmy Sue’s coffee shop in downtown Crimsonvale when Kage leaned toward me, his golden eyes glinting with mischief. "So, how's your sweet pussy feeling today?" he murmured.

My eyes widened, and I immediately scanned the coffee shop. The barista was busy making drinks, a couple of students chatted in low tones at the far corner, and an elderly man was engrossed in the newspaper at the neighboring table. No one seemed to have overheard, but the sheer audacity of his question made my cheeks burn. I nudged him with my elbow, trying to keep my voice low. "Shh! Are you trying to make me die from embarrassment?"

His laughed. "Relax. No one heard. But I couldn't resist; it's been on my mind all day."

I rolled my eyes but couldn’t help but smile. "Of course it has."

Every day with Kage felt like a new adventure. Ever since he'd taken my virginity, we’ve been exploring each other in everyway imaginable. Sometimes it was sweet and slow, other times, it was raw and primal, but it was always mind blowing.

Every sexual encounter with Kage left me feeling more sexually confident but also just plain happier. Maybe I shouldn’t be, given I hadn’t checked my ranking in forever. I wasn’t exactly losing focus on my goal, but I didn’t feel as desperate about my rank like I once had. Kage had a lot to do with that.

I was digging into a calculus problem when the girl approached us.

Even before I saw her, I felt her. Slighter older, probably in her late twenties, she was tall and busty with shiny dark hair cascading down her shoulders. She held a coffee cup in one hand and, using her other hand to pull out the vacant chair next to Kage, she sat down.

Kage tensed. The playful light in his eyes vanished, replaced by irritation and an unease that immediately set off alarms in my head.

“We didn’t invite you to sit with us, Jessa,” Kage said, his voice laced with annoyance.

Jessa smirked, her brown eyes glittering with mischief. “Oh, come on, Kage. You always loved coming here with me.” She glanced at me, her lips curling into a condescending smile. "You don't mind, do you?"

My heart raced. The pieces started coming together. The way she looked at Kage, the familiarity in her tone—he’d fucked her. For all I knew, maybe he was still fucking her.
