It feels insanely greedy to tell them I’m into this without any preamble.
I’m here to sit through a date and hopefully get lucky by the end.
So, I sit down when asked, and I sip wine when it’s poured for me.
“This is nice,” I tell them. “I haven’t been on a date in a really long time.”
Pete smiles at me from my right side. “Well, you’ll be spoilt for choice on date nights now.”
I feel my cheeks burn at the insinuation he’s making. So far, he’s the only one who’s told me I’m his mate. I’m not sure I’ll believe there’s more to this until I hear from the rest of them.
I can sense Owen’s gaze on me from across the table.
When I look up, I find his gaze moving from my cleavage to my lips.
He gives me a smile, but he doesn’t say a word.
Shadow’s humming happily over the stove behind us, and Ezra’s hovering around, topping up wine glasses and putting out napkins. He seems unusually anxious.
“So, is it true that a Beta can take an Alpha’s knot?” I ask Pete, wondering about the exact dynamics of this pack. They all have the energy of mates for each other, but I bet it’s not a simple set up.
Pete smiles as Ezra drops a fork on the carpet.
“Oh, a Beta can take just as much knotting as an Omega can.”
“That’s true,” Shadow calls out. “We’ve definitely tested it.”
Owen snorts at that. “I don’t think we reached a definitive conclusion.”
“We did,” Pete says. “I can take it for much longer, but Shadow’s cum definitely helps me last.”
“Shadow’s cum?” I find myself asking.
“It tastes like his perfume,” Pete murmurs. “So does his slick.”
“It does?”
Pete nods, before he leans in and kisses me.
I close my eyes and kiss him back, vaguely aware that it’s not a polite little peck he’s giving me in front of his Alphas and his Omega and not really caring.
He’s a good kisser, and I’ve spent too long going without affection to be bothered by modesty or how things might look to other people.
I’ll take whatever he wants to give, whether or not that’s when we’re alone or in company.
He breaks the kiss with a satisfied sigh. “It’s been too long since I claimed you.”
His admission makes my body flush through with heat.
“It has,” I confirm, feeling emboldened by his kiss. “But I think we need to correct something.”
“Oh?” he asks, raising an eyebrow. “What’s that?”
“Like you told me when you claimed me, Ezra was supposed to do that first.”
He starts to grin. “You want Ezra to claim you?”
I shrug, a little afraid to look the handsome doctor in the eye.
