What if he isn’t interested? I would probably die of mortification, right here and now.
Pete has no such fear. He gets to his feet, and nods at Owen who gets up after him.
“Table,” Pete says, taking one end as Owen takes the other.
They lift it to a spot a few feet away and set it back down.
I have no damn idea what’s going on.
At least, until Ezra gets to his knees in front of me.
He looks up, wonder in his bright eyes.
“I’ve been in awe of you since we met, Lana. I knew you were meant to be mine. To be ours.”
He takes my hands in his. “Are you sure you’re ready for this? I know it’s a lot.”
“Ezra, I’ve been head over heels since you got here. I can’t tell you how many cold showers I took because of you. I’m beyond ready for this. All of it.”
Maybe things would be different if I was younger, or less experienced, but neither of those things apply to me, and I’m just hopeful enough to take this leap of faith with these men.
“All of it?” Ezra sounds stunned.
“Can you please kiss me now?”
He stands up and helps me to my feet.
My arms wrap around his neck.
He’s taller than I am, but not by too much.
Leaning in, he kisses me softly, hands going to my waist.
It’s the sweetest damn kiss I’ve ever had, and he follows it up by lifting me into his arms and carrying me into the bedroom.
Chapter Fifty-Nine
Ezra
Laying Lana down on the bed that has Shadow’s perfume soaked into the sheets feels like a dream I had the same night we first met. I woke up with tingling teeth and a rock-hard dick the next morning, and I couldn’t stop thinking about the longing in her dark eyes.
I move onto the bed beside her, and I reach out to brush a strand of her chestnut hair away from her strikingly beautiful face. It’s as soft and silky as I’d imagined it would feel.
She turns to face me, and I move my hand down to lace my fingers through hers.
“I’ve wanted this for so long, Lana,” I confess. “You’re the only woman I’ve ever been attracted to, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you since the day we met.”
“I’m the only one?” she asks, astonished.
“I waited for my true mates, and if you haven’t noticed, the others are all men.”
She smiles. “Oh, I’ve noticed. Trust me.”
Of course she has. They’re her mates too.
“I know you haven’t had a lot of time to get to know Shadow and Owen …” I start.
“Shadow’s sweet and Owen is protective. I don’t need to know more to know I want to be with all of you. This pack is so much more than I ever thought I’d find, Ezra. I never expected to meet one true mate in my lifetime. Four is a gift from God.”
