He spoke, “Sophia, normally I wouldn’t do this in front of others, but I will apologize for my pups. They feel Haley’s pain, and they thought you were a threat. It won’t happen again.” Aiden added, “Unless she’s a threat again.” Alpha Eric shot him a look.

Sophia whispered, “I get it.” Heath asked, “Are you ok?” Alfred Jr went to her. Sophia sighed, “I guess you missed Haley explaining as she could between shouting all the curses in the world at me that some magic inside her was mad. I could tell she’s pissed but she didn’t want to keep hitting me after she got a few good shots in. I’d have shifted otherwise.” That was valid point. She didn’t shift. She would’ve lost Alpha Eric as an ally, but she could’ve shifted to fight.

Another fairy popped back with Emmaline. She looked outside, “Damn. We missed all the fun, Emmaline.” Emmaline sighed, “I could probably tell you what happened here, Hexxi.” Cassandra scoffed, “Haley lost her mind is what happened.”

Sophia asked, “Do you have to be a bitch right now? I claim all rights to being a bitch having just had my ass just handed to me. Shut the fuck up.” Cassandra gasped and Emmaline’s hand reached out and she slapped Cassandra. She reared back in shock. She looked from her hand to Cassandra. She said, “I…. I don’t know what came over me.”

Hexxi laughed, “One of your children was upset with the she wolf’s words. That’s a water fairy power, a rare one.” Alpha Lucas groaned, “Of course it is.” Emmaline asked, “What is it?” Hexxi answered, “The ability to briefly channel someone else to do something we want. It hasn’t been around for a while, but if you didn’t slap her….” Emmaline said, “I didn’t. I mean I did, but I didn’t.” Hexxi said, “Mystery solved. The baby did it.”

A pop sounded. A fairy chuckled, “King Aiden, it seems we missed a fight already.” Alpha Eric growled as King Aiden laughed. Alpha Eric rounded on the fairy. He said, “You’ve been here the whole time. You didn’t miss a damn thing except the fact that my men have been on you for hours.”

The man replied, “Guilty as charged.” Aiden questioned, “Rediek, where is your son? I thought Phiefan was coming.” Rediek rolled his eyes, “He’s far too entertained by your sister right now.”

Another pop sounded. A man chuckled, “Father, I don’t know why you dislike them they are so….” He trailed off as he looked at Hexxi. She gasped. Aiden clapped, “Finally! One of these matches works out for me.” Phiefan popped to her, “You are stunning.” I felt hollow.

Haley popped in the room with Harper, the other man who’d gotten Sophia out of the way and King Titus. I wondered if his wife came and took the pups. Haley hissed at Sophia and turned to Hexxi. Emmaline gasped. Haley said, “No fucking way.” King Aiden smirked, “Oh yes way.”

Phiefan said, “I relinquish my qualms about King Aiden. I recognize him as my King, and one of the promised siblings.” Hexxi cried, “For me? You’re doing that for me?” Phiefan answered, “For you, my Duchess.” Hexxi wiped her tears, “I got you something.” Aiden laughed. Haley groaned, “Oh no…” Phiefan laughed, “Already?” Hexxi admitted, “I got it a while ago I kept hoping I’d meet you.” A loud trumpet sounded.

Alpha Eric shouted, “SERIOUSLY? You conjured an Elephant IN MY BACKYARD.” Phiefan laughed, “You got me an Elephant, Darling?” Hexxi smiled, “He was so cute.” He waved without looking, “Goodbye, father. Good luck with your meeting. I’ll talk to you soon.”

His dad asked, “Just like that?” Phiefan replied, “I’ve always wanted to see Faerie. Many of our people do. You saw the power the Princess just displayed. They truly are the promised siblings. I’m going to enjoy my mate now. I’ve been searching for her for a century. I’ll not give her up over some squabble that was never mine.”

Dylan said, “He doesn’t look older than twenty. To be a fairy with youthful appearance.” Phiefan popped away with Hexxi. Emmaline was crying again. She waved her hand, “Don’t worry, these are happy tears Dylan.”

Dylan said, “I told you, Lucas. Rogues could take over our territory and it would be less interesting than this meeting.” Alpha Lucas admitted, “Somehow you are right yet again.” Dylan said, “I’m telling you people need to listen to me. I’m rarely wrong. The world would be a better place if you just listened to me.”

Rediek sighed and looked at Aiden, “I will not fight my son. So, my people recognize you too.” Aiden said, “We will have to agree to terms, and I’ll destroy you should you betray me. I could even just send my sister for me without any army.” Alpha Eric growled at him.

Rediek shot her a terrified look and paled. He pointed out, “You didn’t make my son reach terms.” Aiden said, “I’ve spoken to your son many times. He’s very entertaining. You sent people to kill my sister's brother-in-law last night.”

Haley popped and punched Rediek in the face then threw him across the room. Her eyes were still swimming with different colors, but they weren’t solid anymore. Bjourn grabbed her around the waist. He whispered, “We’ve got you, little one. It’s ok and Darrin is fine.” He motioned to Alpha Eric who took her from him. He turned her into him and clearly started to link her. King Titus merely stared at Rediek.

My dad grabbed my shoulder, “We will get Lexi back and she’ll talk to you.” Haley pushed away from Eric and conjured my annulment papers. She shoved them at Sophia, “SIGN THEM NOW!” Beta Alfred Junior growled, “No, she can’t! They have my stepmom!”

Haley hissed, “I’ll get your stupid fucking stepmother back! SIGN THEM NOW YOU BITCH OR I’LL KILL YOU! Those are your choices.” She gritted her teeth. Aiden spoke to her in Fealish. Alfred growled, “Don’t threaten my Alpha.” Sophia put her hand on him, “She doesn’t mean it.” Alfred scoffed, “She’s a fairy who can’t lie.”

Sophia sighed, “Yes, I know that. She’s fighting some ancient magic within her, ok. Everyone says things in anger they think are true at the time, but they aren’t. I doubt she’s done fighting it, and I’ll take what comes from that. This is my fault, and we all know it. She took on that magic for her friend because I backed out on Chase.” That was surprisingly wise. What the hell happened outside? I sighed, “It’s my fault too.” Sophia linked me, “But her friend isn’t mad at you. I know some fairies, Chase. I knew what could have happened here and I made my choices with the full picture in mind.” She did? Why the hell would she do that?

James said, “It will not be necessary for you to find the stepmother, Princess. My older brother is on his way with her now.” Sophia sighed in relief. She shakily signed the papers. Haley handed them to a man sitting in the room I hadn’t noticed him before.

He stood, “Well, I’ll be filing this right away. It’s been… interesting Alpha Eric as always.” Haley spoke a chant and touched him. She told him, “You and YOU ALONE can get out.” He made tracks out the door, and I didn’t blame him.

Alpha Eric looked at me, “He’s my lawyer.” I said, “I figured.” I just didn’t care. I pleaded, “Haley, please….” Haley softened interrupting me, “She is going to want to see you, Alpha Chase. She’s just in shock right now. She doesn’t even know what she’s saying. She’s processing.”

Sophia said, “I’ll talk to her, I’ll apologize.” Haley hissed and her eyes went back solid, “IF YOU LOOK IN HER GENERAL DIRECTION, I WILL TURN YOU INTO A ROCK FOREVER! I’ll give you to my cousin Hexxi. She fucking LOVES rocks. You’ll sit on a shelf. I’ll even tell her to paint you red bitch! Lexi helped you! After everything you did to her!” I was not the only person confused by that statement.

I asked, “What?” Haley shouted, “Tyson! She found Tyson for you! All so you wouldn’t be alone anymore!” I gasped. Sophia argued, “No, Frank told me about Tyson.” My dad sighed, “Lexi came to me. She thought you had siblings, and she wanted to track them down. She stumbled onto Tyson at the same time I went to his pack to talk to the Alpha about the whereabouts of someone from your pack; back in the day.”

Sophia asked, “She did that for me? She found Tyson?” Haley answered, “Yes, you wretched snake!” She paused, “I like it.” She spoke a chant and Sophia transformed into an actual snake. My mind was in shock.

Oscar popped back. He sounded mad, “It’s been more than an hour. What’s wrong with her? A SNAKE?!” Sophia slithered away. Heath quickly explained, “It’s a werewolf, not a snake.” Dylan scoffed, “That’s got to be the weirdest statement anyone has ever made. This is no ordinary snake, it’s a werewolf.” He might be right.

Oscar looked at Haley forgetting all about Sophia. Oscar begged, “Heal her please, Princess.” Haley turned and dropped to a knee. She asked, “She’s yours, Oscar?” He nodded, “She’s mine.” Haley said, “Treat her well. Her name is Jenna and she’s my sister in law’s little sister. I now realize she’s been smelling you all over and driving Molly crazy about dumplings.” He assured her, “I will, I promise.”

Haley began to heal Jenna. Isaac hadn’t moved from her side, and he began to purr in delight. Oscar continued, “I will treat her like a Queen.” Jenna's eyes snapped open. She looked into Oscar’s eyes and growled, “MINE! It’s you mate. You smell like dumplings!” Oscar cupped her face, “I’m here, my wolf. I’ll never leave you.” Jenna clung to him.

Isaac asked, “Princess Haley, please do your thing so they can leave the room? I don’t need to see my baby mating.” Haley chanted and nodded to Oscar. He popped them both out. Matt asked, “Chase, are you ok?” I answered, “No, I need Lexi back to be ok.”
