Beta Dylan raised a glass and whispered, “Beta’s ask the right questions. You need us Alpha Baby Daddy.” I wanted to curse. I should’ve gotten Matt up there with Eric and me. Cameron linked me, “I JUST got cake. Why must I put it down? It smells SO good.”

I retorted, “Have you seen your wife recently?” He said, “She was taking a shower. I linked her, but she said to talk to Lexi. I was trying to get cake before I talked the bride myself,” Lexi pointed to Sophia outside looking worried.

I linked Cameron, “We think Reagan is in labor. Go.” Cameron winced, “I’m an Alpha of a pack now too, Chase. I can’t go if there’s an issue and Rea knows that.” I sighed, “Let’s find out what’s going on so we can get you to Reagan.”

We got outside to hear Sophia sounding terrified to ruin the wedding. I linked the Alpha’s, “We need everyone out here.” I linked Kincade, “Get out here.” Then I linked Kyler and Kevin, “Kevin leave Sadie with the twins and grab Ken, then get over here to hear what’s going on. Keep the warriors that stay behind on alert. Nothing happens to my daughter, Kevin. Kyler, you’ll be with us. There’s no way Lexi isn’t coming.” Kyler replied, “I’m already here.” I snorted. Of course he was. He was a guard for a reason.

Sophia linked me, “I’m so sorry.” I said, “There’s nothing to apologize for. You can hardly control a crazy person.” I got our timeline, then linked Matt and Derrick, “Join the party on the balcony.” I linked Kincade, “Get our warriors ready. I want some on the border and some with us. We are the closest. We have to bring the most with us.” Kincade nodded to me. Carry was squeezing his hand.

Forrest came up and nodded to Cameron and Rick. Heath joined us, and I wasn’t surprised at all. Sophia was touched. This was the Sophia I’d known all my life. This bad ass woman. She was finally herself again.

Beta Dylan walked outside ready to go. Lexi already had her bow. If she fought in this dress Bolt and I were going to have problems focusing. Hell, I have enough trouble when she’s dressed as BA. I linked my brother, “I’ve got this. I understand.” He argued, “You wouldn’t stay behind. You’d want to, but we are Alpha’s. Thank you for trying to cover me, but I’m standing beside you and our pack.” I nodded, “I’m proud of you little brother. Let’s get you back so you’re there with Reagan for the birth and you don’t have to go through hell.” Cameron admitted, “It would be appreciated.”

Nadine linked me, “The twins are still sleeping. I have a monitor and Kevin’s mate and mother are on the door.” I said, “Kevin is going back when we leave.” She nodded and walked back in the direction of the main house. Susie would be safe with her mother watching over her. I linked Cameron, “Have Forrest or Rick put someone else on Reagan while we are gone.” Cameron replied, “I already did.”

Sophia gave a rallying speech then I led my pack in a howl. Haley and Lexi cheered her on. I saw the Hackura come up behind Lexi. I linked Cameron, “Have they been here the whole time?” Cameron said, “All I saw was Reagan’s boobs. That’s a Matt or Rick question.” I snorted.

I linked Matt, “Have the Hackura been here the whole time?” Matt answered, “Yes, you would be lost without me.” I agreed, “I really would.” Eric was locked in a tongue battle with Haley. Luna Emmaline slipped out and whispered, “Come back to me, Lucas.” He replied, “Always baby girl.” He kissed her.

Beta Dylan said, “Don’t worry Lacy, I'll be fine. It’s so embarrassing when you go on and on like this.” Matt snorted. Beta Dylan sighed, “Oh wait that’s right. I’m alone and she is not here. There is no one to kiss me passionately and tell me to come home safely.”

Eric whispered, “You’ll come home safely, or I’ll kick your ass. I’m not fucking kissing you though.” Beta Dylan cooed, “Aww shucks SGAP you’re announcing our love to all our allies. I’m honored. Unprepared, but honored.” Eric signed, “Lucas.” Alpha Lucas broke his kiss with Luna Emmaline. He said, “Dylan you’re coming home to Lacy and Finn.” Beta Dylan said, “Well, when you put it that way.” We all chuckled.

We shifted and took off running following Sophia. Eric linked me, “You should’ve been popped with us. We are already here. I’m sure Beta Dylan will send a gloating memo about this tomorrow. Your mate is also now dressed as BA.” I growled, “I forgot about the popping fairies.” Eric taunted, “Jenna didn’t. She and Oscar are here with us.”

I told Bolt, “Run like the wind.” Bolt said, “I’m not bullseye, Chase.” I ordered, “Just run.” Bolt grumbled, “I’m so confused as to what I’m doing right now.” I linked Matt, “Oscar popped Jenna to the fight.” Matt replied, “Have him pop to us!” I retorted, “And have him leave his mate before battle? I’m not that type of Alpha when we will be there in a few minutes.” Matt growled, “Damn your logic! That’s my sister!” I pointed out, “Both of your sister’s. Eric’s group is there too.” Matt growled.

We cleared the ridge just as Eddie came forward. He had a lot of help. His eyes narrowed on Sophia. He greeted, “Hello little sister, I’ve been looking forward to meeting you.” Sophia shifted back. Haley snapped her clothes. Sophia said, “Eddie, if you hadn’t caused a lot of damage I’d be just as excited to meet you as I was Tyson.”

Eddie was confused, “Who is Tyson?” Tyson shifted back and was snapped clothes. The similarities between the two couldn’t be denied. Eddie growled, “You side with her? I’m the rightful heir! The first born male child of Alpha Allister!” Tyson replied evenly, “I’m older than you. I’m also your cousin AND your half-brother. We’ve got a fucked up family situation going on, Eddie. This pack is Sophia’s.”

Eddie growled, “This pack is MINE! It’s my birthright! The old man didn’t want me! Well, I’ll show him! I’ll take it from his precious Sophia!” Sophia said, “He didn’t know about you.” Eddie sneered, “My mom said you were naive. Are you going to stand down? Or will you make me fight you?” Sophia said, “This is my pack. I am the daughter of Alpha Allister and his fated mate. I was raised to be the Alpha here. Stand down Eddie, please.”

Eddie laughed, “No and don’t worry little sister. I’ve picked out a new mate for you.” He inclined his head. The man said, “I’ll mark you before the night is done.” Sophia disagreed, “You aren’t my mate so you’re not marking me.” He shrugged, “Who cares? Eddie says I can have you.”

An arrow flew through the air piercing his heart. He went down, dead in an instant. Sophia turned around. Lexi shrugged, “It slipped.” Sophia laughed. Eddie said, “Since when you are allies with the Black Arrow?”

Heath came forward with Susanna and Robert by his side. He’d changed. He said, “Not just the Black Arrow.” The Hood fighters walked into the clearing. Eddie hissed, “The Hood himself and the Avenging Angel stand with you too?” Robert commented, “Not to mention us.” Several vampires joined them. Eddie said, “You lack a group that I have little sister.”

An entire coven of witches and warlocks came forward. Sophia countered, “Maybe so, but I have the Princess of the Fae and the Hackura.” King Titus spoke, “Not just her.” Eddie shivered. A warlock said, “We prepared for the Princess.” Haley said, “Alpha Sophia, I’d just fucking love to take care of your warlock wart and witch bitch infestation.” Sophia smiled, “By all means. Leave the wolves for us though.” Haley smiled brightly at her, “Deal.”

The ground began to shake, and her eyes began to glow gold. She looked at the other side, “Didn’t anyone tell you idiots? I put witch bitches in ditches.” She let her wings come out and flew into the middle of the field. Several gasps went up from our opposition.

Haley scoffed, “Prepared for me my ass. You didn’t see this fucking coming, did you? Assholes. BA, wanna see my new way of putting witch bitches in ditches?” Lexi smiled, “I do, Princess.” Haley turned back to the group smiling, “BA has spoken.”

We all gaped, even Eric, as the ground split in two. Kyler linked me, “This is what she did when Gamma McCann hurt the Luna.” I growled at the reminder. Bolt linked me, “That annoys me as well, but this is amazing.” I agreed, “It really is.” We all waited for what she’d do next.

Big Moments

We looked around Sophia’s territory. I couldn't see the opposition yet, but I knew there were several people coming towards us. I notched an arrow. Dylan’s wolf seemed to be just like him; he was jumping around Alpha Lucas and Eric. Eric looked ready to pounce on him.

Oscar shouted, “Princess, this place is so exciting! I get to use my powers so very often. The sex after wolf fights is somehow better than the fight itself. I have been hanging out with the wrong crowd my entire life.” Haley snorted, “You were living off the damn grid, Oscar. You've barely been around any people.” Oscar acknowledged, “Yes, and how VERY wrong I was. I needed to be living among the wolves, clearly.”

I turned as Chase topped the ridge. He was right behind Sophia with Matt. He was such a striking wolf. I turned back to see the man who must be Eddie. I whispered to Haley, “If not for the crazy eyes, he’d be cute.” Haley snorted, “In what fucking way is he cute?” I laughed, “You and your Eric only eyes.” Haley shrugged, “I see a deranged, crazy ass dude.” I conceded, “Fair enough.”

Harper said, “Yeah, she finds magic dick on her first romantic try. It’s so unfair.” Haley snorted, “You were raised with your mates. I think you fucking win on that front, brother.” Mates? Plural? Did they finally mark Gunner? Harper teased, “That is true, but I still appreciate the attractiveness of both sexes, little sister. My love for Gunner and Calista doesn’t make me blind like your wolf makes you.” Haley stuck her tongue out at him. I laughed.

Sophia tried to reason with her half-brother. I was surprised that he actually seemed confident she would step aside for him. Does he not see her side of the field? We would own their asses in a fight. My eyes snapped up when he said he’d picked out a new mate for her. I tensed. Tell me someone on their side wasn’t her second chance mate. She deserved better than that.
