EPILOGUE
NOAH
Christmas day was officiallyhere.
Hope sat in front of the tree smiling from ear to ear, dressed in that Godforsaken Santa robe.
“Open your present, Noah.”
Sitting on the floor across from her, I held the box in my lap. “You didn’t have to get me anything. The flannel shirts were enough.”
Thanks to my cousin Vino, Barker was at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. Never to be seen again. Hope didn’t sleep well the first two nights. I had to fuck her to sleep. A win for me.
I had no remorse. I was elated the asshole was dead. He got off easy. I wanted to torture him for hurting my woman. Hope’s face was healing. There was some light bruising around her jaw. She was still absolutely stunning.
So far, Vino hadn’t made a move on Claire. I knew my cousin it was just a matter of time.
“Noah, our cabins look amazing all because of you.
This present is just a small token of my appreciation.”
She slapped her palm on the wooden floor.
“Baby, open it.”
I untied the big red bow wrapped around the green box.
Removing the top, I peeked at her.
“Keep going.”
I peeled the tissue paper back. And my eyes grew in size.
“Fuck no. There’s no way I will ever wear this.”
“Read it then hold it up.” She had her camera ready.
It was a black sweater with a big red bow at the bottom and green and red writing all over it. “This can’t be happening.”
“Read it, Noah,” my beautiful woman growled.
It read. “Kiss me under the Mistletoe.”
She clapped her hands over her head, then snapped the pic.
“You have to wear it today, Noah.”
A tight grin framed my lips. “I thought I had until next year.”
Her eyes narrowed, and she leaned in. “No, we’re a couple this year, Noah. The tradition starts now.”
I gripped her neck and crushed her lips.
“All right, baby. I’ll wear it.”
The truth was, if she asked me to wear an ugly sweater every day, I’d do it to please her. That was how much I loved Hope.
“Open the little box next to the big one.”
