“Ours?” my stomach does a pitch.
“Not losing any more time with you.”
“You’re moving way too fast. I’m not ready.”
“So what? We waste our time with me sleeping at your place when I’m in town during the week and on weekends you’ll sleep at the clubhouse with me until the build is complete? Lugging shit back and forth or buying double when it could be solved by you staying here with me.”
“It’s not that simple.”
“It is if you want it to be. Cabin will be ready to live in within two months, tops.”
“Okay. So, what’s wrong with us dating until then? I like my apartment.”
“It’s not safe.”
“It was until a few days ago. Now the threat is over.”
“I claimed you as mine to the leader of the Red Scorpions. You think that doesn’t put an even bigger target on your back if he retaliates against me or the club?”
“Well, geez. When you put it like that Creed, I can’t wait to move in with you.”
“Don’t be like that. You should be aware, is all.”
“And if I don’t want any of it?”
“You don’t want to be with me?”
“Of course I do, you idiot.”
“Jesus fuckin’ Christ, Lottie. You’re giving me a fucking headache.”
“If you’ll give me my keys, I’ll cure it for you real quick.”
“Pain in my ass, you know that.”
“You’re an asshole.”
“Get used to it because this asshole is yours.”
I smirk and burst out laughing. “Is that so?”
“Not like that. Ain’t nobody touching my ass. Not even you.”
“What if it’s like a little surprise one day and you like it?”
“You shove your finger in my ass and I’m going to put my dick in yours.”
“You never know, you might like it. A lot of guys do.”
He stomps off back toward the clubhouse.
“What’s your problem?” I practically have to run to keep up with him.
He stops so abruptly that I practically run into his back as he turns to face me, all red-faced like a raging bull. “You think I want to hear how you’ve stuck your finger in some other guy’s asshole, and he liked it?”
I can’t stop laughing. He looks ridiculous. Even the tips of his ears are red. Like steam is going to blow out at any second.
“Do you see me laughing? It’s not funny, Lottie.”
