“What’s that smile for?”Nick held her close in the warmth of her family home.

“I was thinking about how excited and anxious I am to marry you.”

“Yeah.Me, too.I can’t wait to call you Mrs.Gunn.”He kissed her right there in her mother’s kitchen, their family around them.Their soon-to-be daughter was surrounded by just some of the many people who would love and protect her always.

She’d never felt more humbled and appreciative to be a part of the people here who made this place home.

She held up her wine.“To the Wilde Gunn family.”

Everyone around the room held up a glass.“The Wilde Gunn family.”They all drank.

Stacy clinked her soda can to her grandma’s glass of wine, then they hugged each other, and Stacy announced, “Dinner’s ready.”

The family gathered around the table with their plates piled high and their hearts full.

Epilogue

Ariacouldn’tbelievehowfast the days passed until their wedding and her standing in front of the full-length mirror in her old bedroom at her parents’ ranch, staring at herself in her gown.It was a wish when she bought it and a dream come true today. She loved it.

“Nick is going to pass out when he sees you in this dress.”Her mother smiled from behind her.“You are breathtaking.”Tears gathered in her mother’s eyes.

“Don’t cry, or I’ll start crying.”She blinked to hold back the tears and smoothed her hands over the full lace skirt. The sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves made her look and feel like a princess. With every move she made, the skirt swished.

The door flew open behind her and Stacy ran in ahead of Lyric and Melody.“It’s time! It’s time! It’s time,” she shouted.

Aria turned to them and got a bunch of oohs and ahhs.

“That dress…” Lyric said.“I see why you had to have it.”

“It’s perfect,” Melody agreed.

“You’re so pretty, Mommy.”Stacy looked up at her with pure joy.

Even now, weeks after Stacy had started living with them, hearing Stacy call her that made her heart melt and her throat choke up.

Three days after she’d started living with them, Aria and Nick went into her room to say goodnight and she asked them if it was finally okay to call them Mom and Dad.She and Nick had both choked up and said yes.

Then, right before they walked out of her bedroom, she’d said, “See you in the morning, Mom and Dad.”They’d both teared up and gone back and hugged their little girl one more time.

Aria would never forget it.

“You look beautiful, too.”

Stacy’s pale pink satin dress with flutter sleeves and a full skirt made her look like the young lady she’d turned into over the last weeks. She’d been twirling around in it since she put it on and couldn’t wait to be their flower girl.

Since Mason and Nick were brothers and she and Lyric were sisters, she and Nick decided to just have them stand up for them.

Lyric wore a dusty-rose-colored dress with flutter sleeves like Stacy’s dress, a V-neck, and a full asymmetrical skirt that showed off her baby bump.

Nick and Mason had chosen to wear black suits.Simple and timeless.

“Ready?”her dad asked as he walked into the room, then stopped short when he saw her in her gown.“Oh.”He shook his head.“Oh, wow.You look amazing, sweetheart. He’s not going to know what hit him.”

Her blush heated her cheeks.“Let’s go.I’m more than ready.”

Nick and Mason arrived at the very cool glass-topped cabin Jax’s wife Layla used as a studio when she stayed at the ranch to paint her masterpieces. Now, the Wildes used the open cabin space for wedding ceremonies and a honeymoon getaway, depending on how they decorated it.

Today it was decorated with green garlands with pinecones and white roses, pink floral bouquets lining the aisle between the guest chairs, and large lanterns filled with white candles. The whole space felt warm and inviting, especially with the large tree branches overhead as the forest surrounded them.
