"Oh,no," I groaned. I sniffed the air. "Hey, did you orderpizza?"

"Yes.You feel asleep before it got here."

"Isthere any left?" I asked.

"Twoslices."

"Great!Breakfast!"

"That isnotbreakfast."

"It iswhen you're an adult and can do anything you want. I might have icecream too."

"Fine,"said Solomon. "But not on the same plate."

I pulledhim closer and kissed him on the lips. "Thank you," Isaid.

"Whatfor?"

"Beingone of the good guys."

"Youshouldn't need to thank me for that. Being a good guy should be thedefault setting."

"Are youtwo making out?" asked Jord, now walking past us in sockedfeet.

"What'she doing here?" I asked.

"He cameover after his shift and since Lily and Poppy were sleeping over,he did too. We have a fairly full house."

"That'snice." I tested my feet on the floor. I wondered if walking wouldhurt my hangover anymore than it hurt right now.

"We'dhave more space if we moved back to the other house," saidSolomon.

"Mmm-hmm," I murmured. I knew that. I also knew I panickedlast night about the pizza delivery guy but that memory was hazyand indistinct. Solomon seemed perfectly healthy. The delivery guyclearly hadn't been a maniac in disguise.

"Nohurry."

"I'llget therapy," I decided. "I think I need it."

"I'llcome too if you like."

I lookedup a touch too quickly for my thumping head. "Really?"

"Insickness and in health. That goes for our minds too."

"Lexihas a sick mind," said Lily, walking past with Poppy in her arms.Poppy waved and blew a raspberry.

"It'snot true," I said. "My mind is delightful."

Solomonraised his eyebrows again. "We've been through a trauma and we'llget through it together. Drink your coffee," he said. "I'll warmyour grown-up pizza breakfast."

An hourlater, I was showered, my hair washed and blown silky straight, anddressed in jeans and a striped shirt with the cutest little floralembroidery on the pointed collar. My pizza breakfast was devouredalong with another coffee, but the ice cream was placed on hold, which just went to show how grown up I really was.

Jord,Lily and Poppy stayed for breakfast, then the three of them left asone happy, little family. For a moment, I was jealous of how easylife was for them and then so pleased that they all chose to spendthe night to make sure I was okay. Now just Solomon and I were inthe kitchen.

"Let'stake it easy tonight," said Solomon. "I will be home early. Wecould go for a walk in the park or to the movies?"

"Both."
