She definitely needs to build up her stamina, so I made her do a mile sprint without taking a break.

Thalia and I would always do sprints to build up our stamina and endurance, so I’m used to sprinting three miles. The assassin academy our dad sent us to was very strict. We had strict schedules there, diets, lessons, anything you can think of.

“How do you know so much about training?” Reign asks before taking a sip of her water.

We are pretty much done with the “training session” that Reign labeled it even though we were just working out.

We have to head inside for family breakfast. Reign said that her mom is strict when it comes to family meals.

“My mom and dad are some of the most strategic and powerful people in the world. They weren’t like that withoutproper training. My sister and I were taught by them and also went to an academy.” I grab my shirt from the bench since I doubt Malcom won’t shoot my head if he sees me breathing near his daughter while being shirtless.

Reign would look at my chest and get distracted every so often while working out and it did make me feel good since she couldn’t keep her eyes off me.

I know how innocent Reign actually is.

I know she’s never had a boyfriend, but I also know that one guy, who’s no longer alive, fingered her with the same fingers that I ended up cutting off.

“Your sister, Thalia. Is she Donna?” Reign asks, making me look down at her.

“I don’t know, and I don’t care,” I lie.

“Well, I think Mama is done with breakfast so we should go in the house.”

“I’m allowed to?” I ask while following her out of the gym.

“Oh yea, Papa should have settled down from yesterday so you’re good. Plus, Mama said to tell you to come inside.”

Meals at my house would consist of our old Chef named Lana, who died a few years ago from a heart attack, cooking for us every night. Ever since she passed, we’ve never had another chef. My mom and dad would cook and sometimes I would help. Reason why my dad would never hire a new chef is because no one could cook like Lana and my dad is also a control freak who wants to make sure everything is perfect.

We walk inside the house, and I see Lia placing plates on the table while Kyra is sitting at the table sipping tea and Malcom just glaring at me.

“Good morning, guys.” Kyra beams at us. Reign hugs her grandma and kisses her cheek. “How was your guy’s workout?” she asks, looking between Reign and I.

“Good, Killian taught me a lot of new stuff in the gym,” Reign says, sitting down next to her grandma.

Kyra smiles at Reign and looks at me. “Sounds lovely. What about you Killian? Sit down, please.”

I take my seat next to Reign which happens to be facing Malcolm. “Fine.”

Kyra assumes I’m not going to say more so she looks at Malcolm. “How are things with business, Malcom?’

Malcom glares at me before saying, “I don’t think it would be wise for me to discuss this when we have an Italian at the table.”

“‘Cause that would be a fucking tragedy, wouldn’t it?” I mumble and see Reign look at me through my peripheral vision.

“Watch it. I’m letting you stay in my house for free without any of my men breathing down your neck with a knife to your back. Be grateful, brat,” Malcom sneers at me.

“Papa, can we please just have a nice breakfast?” Reign asks as her mom sits next to her dad and places a hand on her husband's arm.

“I agree. How about we talk about something else other than politics and business?” Lia suggests before turning her attention to me. “Killian, how do you like the guest house?”

“It’s comfortable,” I say, before taking a bite of the eggs on my plate.

“I’ll have one of the maids bring some clothes. I have them getting some things for you so it should all be there before the end of the day.”

“Thank you,” I say quietly, which makes Malcolm mock me like a child.

Lia slaps his thigh which makes Kyra and Reign laugh. “What did you guys work on today in the gym?” Kyra asks, sneaking a look at me while I’m silently eating.
