CHAPTER 30

Bianca

“We have graduation in only days,”I said, rubbing my very obvious belly. We’d been back to Bolten a month. There was no hiding that I was pregnant, oversized cardigans be damned.

“Are you excited?” Vincent asked, pulling me down onto his lap.

In the weeks that had passed, we hadn’t heard a peep from Drake or Levin. Nothing. Not even a text saying they were OK. Dom and Vincent assured me that if something had happened to Levin, Alessio would surely reach out and just drag Vincent into the fold.

That didn’t help my worries over Drake, however.

“Yeah. I’ll be glad to be out of here. Where will we go though? To the new house?” I looked to Dom, who came out of the bathroom with his towel wrapped around his waist.

The door opened, and Fallon came in with Stella, who was wearing a frown. She’d been glued to us since we’d returned. I couldn’t even go to the bathroom alone without her at my side. She’d shouldered Aubrey out numerous times. At least Aubrey had been a good sport about it and had just rolled her eyes.I was surprised I’d been able to be alone long enough to have any intimate time with my guys because she had even taken to putting a sleeping bag on the floor and sleeping in the room with us since we all pretty much roomed together at this point.

“We could just move your mattress in here, Fallon. I’d be more comfortable if I weren’t sleeping on the floor.” Stella stomped forward and dropped into a chair.

“You could just go sleep in your own room,” Fallon shot back.

She ignored him and looked at me. “Bianca and I are best friends. She wants me here. Right?”

I blinked at her while Vincent let out a soft chuckle.

“Uh. . .”

“You know you love me, Bianca. I’m Auntie Stella. I even bought the babies some stuff.”

“Stella, why don’t you go stay in your room?” Dom asked, grabbing a pair of his sweatpants and going back to the bathroom to dress.

“I’m scared,” she answered, her voice soft. “People are talking about how I betrayed the lords. I think some of the rogue disciples are out for blood.”

“What are you going to do when we graduate?” Vincent called out.

“I’m going wherever you go,” she said immediately.

I opened my mouth to protest that, but it was Dom who answered.

“Stella, you’re the one who decided to join up with us. You knew the risks. So accept the consequences.”

“You’re going to just fucking hang me out to dry?” She stood up, her hands balled into tight fists and her body trembling. “I’ve stuck by you through a lot of shit, Dominic. I lied for you. I risked my life for you. I fucked around with Fallon for you—”

I winced at her words and looked over at Fallon, whose cheeks were red. I knew it didn’t count because we weren’t really together at the time, but it still hurt to hear.

“I was here when you guys were going through everything. I’ve always been here for you!”

She was right. As much as she irritated and annoyed me, she had done a lot for me and the guys. In the beginning, I viewed her as a rival. An enemy. But now. . .

“She should come with us to the house,” I said softly.

All attention snapped to me.

“Wasp,” Dominic murmured, his brows crinkled.

“Are you sure, B?”

I breathed out and winced, one of the babies kicking me. I rubbed my belly, feeling miserable. I had a few more months of this, and these babies were relentless. I couldn’t imagine carrying them full term and how awful I’d feel. Despite it all, I did love having them inside me. I sang to them sometimes when I was alone in the bathroom to shower.

“I’m sure. She’s done a lot for us. She can come.” I shifted on Vincent’s lap, and he kissed along my jaw, his hands on my belly.
