“She just has to give us a little space,” I continued. “Definitely no sleeping in our bedroom with us.”

“I can do that.” She brightened, her body relaxing and relief spreading across her face. “Oh my god, Bianca. Thank you so much!” She rushed to me and wrapped her arms around my body, forcing my face into her boobs.

“Stella,” I called out in a muffled voice.

“Shh, I like this,” she said happily.

Dominic let out a soft laugh before the door to the bathroom clicked closed. I finally got Stella off me, and she ran back to her seat, grinning widely at me.

She was strange.

“You know how this works,” Dominic said, coming back into the room. “You tell no one—”

“I’m ride or die,” she broke in, making an X over her heart. “Promise. I’d die before I give up the goods.”

“We know that’s not true,” Fallon muttered.

She gave him the finger. “I didn’t hear you doing anything but coming to my goods.”

“Stella,” Dominic snapped, glancing at me. “Enough.”

“He started it,” she mumbled, jerking her thumb at Fallon. “Also, don’t worry, Bianca. I’m not interested in Fallon. He tried to put it in my ass.”

“Stella, shut the fuck up,” Fallon called out, his cheeks red. “I was high as fuck.”

She shrugged. “Fine. I’m done.”

Thank god.

“Wait. Can I watch you guys?”

“You’re done.” Vincent slid me off his lap, grabbed a pillow, and smacked Stella across the face with it. She let out a squeal and fell backward. He wasted no time coming back to me, scooping me into his arms, and taking me to bed. Stella was quick to take his spot on the chair and sit back, giving Fallon the finger again.

Vincent’s phone buzzed, stopping him from snuggling me. Dominic took his place and kissed my cheek as he settled beside us.

Vincent answered his phone. The air in the room shifted.

“Father. Hello,” he said thickly.

My heart pounded. I twisted my fingers into Dominic’s t-shirt, fear washing over me.

He tightened his hold on me. Fallon got up from his chair and moved to sit on the edge of the bed, his eyes on Vincent, whose face had gone pale.

Please, no. Don’t take him. No more bad news.

“Of course. Yes. I will,” Vincent continued. I watched as he got up, went into the bathroom, and closed the door behind him.

“Dominic?” I called out, my voice shaking.

“It’s OK, wasp.”

My body trembled with fear.

“Hey, look at me, Bianca.” Dominic cradled my face. “It’s OK. I promise. I fucking promise.”

I buried my face in his chest while he held me. Fallon rubbed my back and for once, Stella was silent.

It felt like an eternity before Vincent finally came out of the bathroom. He moved to the bed and sank down beside me.
