“What?” Shock at Dominic’s words raced through me. “I don’t understand.”
“He’s one of us now,” Vincent said.
“He’s still a lord though. Leader of the lords,” Levin added, rolling his eyes. “Couldn’t beat that out of him, I guess.”
“You guys beat him?” I got to my feet and glared at my kings. “Are you serious? You could have hurt him! Killed him! What were you thinking? Like we need any more problems—”
Fallon got to his feet and came to me. “It’s OK. Really. I deserved this. I fucked up. In order to come home, I had to pay my dues. I accepted that. I’m fine. I’m happy. I’d do it again if it meant I got to be right here beside you guys.” He pressed his lips gently to mine. “I’ve made up my sins to the kings. We’re family. I only have to repay you now, princess.”
“Fallon—”
“I love you. Will you let me come home?” He gave me a hopeful look.
I glanced around at the kings to see them watching me.
“I-I,” I finally said. “But—”
“Yes or no, wasp,” Dominic called out.
“Don’t tell him he took his beating for nothing,” Vincent added.
I sighed. “It’s different. It’s about more than being beaten—”
“Do you love me?” Fallon asked.
I swallowed thickly. “Of course I do. I’m just trying to deal with everything—”
“Can I come home? Can I please make it up to you? I want nothing more than to be at your side, Bianca. I know you’re still upset with me and have trouble trusting me but let me prove to you that I’m here for the long haul. That you and our baby are my entire world. If you still feel confused, I’ll go. I just really don’t want to.” He kissed my hand. “Please? Can I have another chance? We can really start over now.”
Damn him. I loved him so much. Sure, I was mad, but could I get over it? It looked like my kings had or had at least found a middle ground about it. If Dominic could accept him, then maybe I could, too.
“Yes,” I said. “I already told you we’d start over. You can come home. It’ll just be. . . slow. I want you as much as I always did. You know that. I just need. . .” I didn’t know what I needed aside from him just being at my side and proving he wanted to be there.
“Oh fuck.” He dragged me into his arms and held me tight. I wrapped my arms around him as he whispered how much he loved me on repeat in my ear.
When he let go, he went to his knees, then pushed my shirt up and pressed his lips against my belly.
“Hey, baby. It’s me. It’s dad. I’m home. I’m here. For good.”
I locked eyes on Dominic, who was staring at Fallon. He trailed his gaze up to mine and gave me a small smile that made my heart dance.
He was happy.
Despite everything, Dominic was happy.
“You guys are going to make me cry,” Vincent said, sniffling.
“You big softie,” Levin muttered. “You knew the F-Word was going to weasel his way back in.”
“I just didn’t know I’d be this happy,” Vincent said, wiping at his eyes. “Fuck, man. When did I become such a little bitch?”
Dominic chuckled as he got to his feet and helped Fallon to his. They both drew me into their arms and held me tightly as Vincent and Levin watched.
“There’s only one person missing,” Vincent said as we broke apart.
“Who’s that?” Dominic frowned.
I widened my eyes at Vincent, my heart pounding.
