Dylan shot him a look, but Conner saw him take Dan's hand and it squeezed his heart. It looked like he was the last McPhee to settle down, and he never would have thought, but he was happy for Dylan. Dan was a good guy.

“You guys have been dating for quite a while then, huh?” asked Conner.

“Yeah, we met at the opening game,” Dan said, still looking a little unsure.

“You know we totally support you?” Conner asked.

“Totally,” added Wes. “We're happy for you guys.”

Dan seemed to relax a little. “I’m not out fully at work, but I've started to tell some of the other trainers. You’re the first players to know.”

“We’re here for you, man.” Wes said, running his hand through his floppy blonde hair.

They enjoyed their meal and Conner was happy to see Dan starting to relax and talk to them. As long as Dylan was happy, Conner was happy. He felt the same way about Kate and Wes. Sure, it had been a little weird when his teammate, especially one he played as closely with as Wes, wanted to ask out his twin sister, but he was happy for them. Patrick was already married with kids. Now that Kate and Dylan looked to be in serious relationships, and it really had him thinking. With that thinking came images of Sasha. Technically there were no rules about him asking her out because they were in completely different arms of the organization, but he would hate to make her feel awkward at work. Every now and then he thought there might be something there, but then she would pull back, and he hadn't spoken to her for any length of time since he made an ass out of himself on the plane.

Later that night Kate, Dylan, and Dan were over at the pool table and Wes came to sit next to Conner.

“How are things going? We haven't had much time to catch up since I've been out.”

“Good, it sucks on the ice without you, but we are managing to hold our own a bit.”

“You and Sasha still fighting?”

“We don't fight.”

“I guess that's the answer,” Wes said, shooting him a knowing look.

“Okay, we bicker. But not anymore...well, not until recently. Damn, I don't fucking know, man.”

“Touchy subject I see,” Wes said with a small chuckle.

“I don't know. I think I might want to ask her out.”

“Ya don't fuckin' say?” mocked Wes.

“Is it that obvious?”

“Only to everyone except you two.”

“Really?”

Wes just nodded. Conner sighed.

“I can't seem to talk to her without sounding like a dick. I'm a pretty charming guy, but it all goes out the window when I talk to her.”

“I say ask her out. What's the harm?”

Conner nodded thinking about it. Maybe he should ask her out. It would probably be less distraction than trying to stay away from her. Maybe it was time to ask her out.

Sasha

After Hillary posted about her, Sasha had been a mess. Luckily, she had lots of good content saved up because she hadn't been able to control her thoughts enough to film anything new. She was obsessing about the accounts and monitoring the comments and follower sections. That was when she found an account that had started following the accounts after Hillary's post. They had gone back and liked all the videos.

It seemed harmless, until that account had DM'd her.

Sasha, it looks like I found you. How do you like working for the Magic? Once again working your own magic on their account. I can tell exactly when you started. You should show your beautiful face more. I've missed you. - P
