I chuckle, looking at my watch as I say, “Is ten minutes acceptable?”

She playfully slaps my chest. “No, but maybe we can have a dance instead? When I grind against you, you’ll be able to feel the jewel.”

“You’re going to be the death of me, love,” I tell her with a groan, kissing her again.

I will never get bored of this. Each time I kiss her, the taste of her makes me tingle like it’s the first time.

“It’s a good way to die,” she laughs.

I pull her closer, wrapping my arms around her as she looks up at me, her beautiful silver eyes locked with mine as she smiles.

“I don’t know how the hell I got so lucky. You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I’m just sorry I wasted all that time pushing you away, when we could have been together.”

She quickly shakes her head. “I think we needed to go through what we did to bring us here, to make us the people we are now. We weren’t ready for each other before, but we are now.”

My heart races as I smile at her. “I love you so fucking much, you know that, right?”

This isn’t the first time I’ve told her I love her. I’ve been telling her for months, but each time feels just as momentous as the first. My love for her grows each day, and I want her to know that, to feel it.

“I know. And you know how much I love you. You saved me, and gave me the life I’ve always wanted, and I can never repay you for that. But I can spend forever loving you,” she replies, kissing my cheek.

“That’s more than enough, Mio.”

I take hold of her hand as she steps away, getting ready to go back into the club, but she stops, looking at me with that shy smile that makes my dick twitch.

“Did you mean what you said before? Or was it just in the heat of the moment?”

She doesn’t have to elaborate for me to know what she’s referring to.

“I meant it. I probably shouldn't have brought it up when I did, since I was caught in the moment, but it doesn’t change how I feel.

“I don’t mean right now, but someday, I’d like to have children with you. If that’s what you want?”

She nods her head, giving me a smile as her eyes start to mist over. Her grip on my hand tightens. “I want that too, but…”

She trails off, looking embarrassed again.

“But, what?” I prompt.

“Only if we’re married,” she rushes out.

My cocky smirk grows as I watch her cheeks flush. “Oh, we will be married. You just have to wait for me to propose.”

“You want to propose?” she asks, sounding shocked.

A short laugh rips from my throat and she narrows her gaze at me. “Love, I’ve had a ring for months. I’m just waiting for the right moment.”

“You have? Since when?”

I look down at the floor, suddenly feeling a little shy myself. She reaches up and places her hand on my cheek, forcing me to look at her.

“After the first night we had sex. I knew I’d never let you go after that.”

“That long?” she blurts out, and I chuckle.

“That long. You’re mine, and I knew I wanted forever with you.”

She gives me a bright smile as she stands on her tip-toes, giving her just enough height to lean into my ear.
