“You won’t.”
“Just tell me to stop if I do.”
I took the candle and safely held it away as I came forward and kissed him deeply, our tongues dancing wildly against each other. I sucked his bottom lip into my mouth, earning a groan that only made me want to unstrap him from the wheel and throw him down on the floor so I could ride him.
As if reading my thoughts, he whispered, “You know this thing is adjustable, right?”
I veered back, my brows raising through my mask. “I did not.”
He grinned at me. “Candle play first, and then you can ride me. Sound fair?”
It sure as fuck did.
Following Spike’s example, I twirled what I could of the wax around and then gently tipped it above Phoenix’s shoulder, watching as it spilled down and landed in unsteady drops on his skin. Phoenix let out a gasp, then pressed his eyes shut when another drop fell on his swollen chest.
“Fuck,” he breathily moaned. “More. Give me more.”
“I have a better idea,” Spike said from behind me, his hands cupping my ass and gripping it hard.
He disappeared again, and after a moment, there was the faint sound of aclickand then Spike’s hands were gripping the top of the wheel, carefully moving it down until it looked like Phoenix was lying down on top of a round table.
Fire pounded through my core, and reactively I placed the candle down beside Phoenix and hopped up on the makeshift table, straddling him. His cock nudged my entrance, and he gasped as I grabbed it and positioned him against my heat, grinding so he could feel just how wet and ready I was.
I sank down, moaning like a dirty whore, and then leaned over to grab the candle. My breath caught when I spotted Spike lingering off to the right, lips parted as he stroked himself.
“You’re not joining?” I asked him.
“Maybe next time,” he said thickly, his breath coming out in sharp pants the harder he worked himself. “I want to watch you fuck him instead.”
“Please,” Phoenix whined, his hips bucking up, thrusting into me. “Don’t hold back.”
I smiled, then worked my hips slowly, loving how his head fell back and how his breathing picked up. Gingerly, I tipped the candle over and let droplet after droplet spill down on him, losing myself as I began to bounce, grinding my hips before starting again.
“Oh fuck,” he yelled, his wrists tugging angrily at the straps, desperate to break free. “Harder, baby.”
I gave him what he wanted, building a momentum that caused my grip to loosen on the candle and had all the wax spilling down over his welted chest. Phoenix let out a pleasurable cry and as I quickly snatched up the candle, I blew the fire out and chucked it across the room, planting my palms against his shoulders for support.
And I didn’t hold back.
I gave him all of me, bouncing fast and hard and grinding my hips, the sound of our moans and our skin slapping drowning out every other noise in the room.
Including what I was positive was a harrowing snarl resonating somewhere behind me.
Twenty Three
Charlotte
Iheard his snarl.
I knew he was angry.
But he didn’t make a move.
Our show ended and he hadn’t dared show himself.
“What are we supposed to do now?” I asked Phoenix an hour later, worry nestling deep in my gut as he and Spike escorted me out to my car, Spike carefully scoping the parking lot. Carter wasn’t outside when we left, and as I stuck my head out, peering around, I didn’t see Blaire’s car out here either, so I just assumed after he’d seen my text that he decided to call it quits and went back to my house.
“Chief and Captain Burgess are still here,” Spike said, pointing their cars out across the parking lot. “We’ll track them and the other detectives down, and then get with Felix. Find out if they’ve seen or noticed anything suspicious.”
