“What’s wrong Kens?” She asks.

“My phone. I left it on the bed.”

Putting her hands on her hips she shakes her head with a smile. “You forget everything. I’m surprised you haven’t left the house naked before.”

Licking my lips, I nod my head, but still head to check my room anyway. I know it wasn’t on the bed when I walked out of the room, but now that I think about it I don’t remember seeing it after my ice bath. Pushing my door open my eyes fall to my perfectly made bed only to find it bare of any items. Dropping to my knees I look on the floor, under my bed, around my dresser, and under my bedside table. Ally stands at the door watching me crawl around on my hands and knees with a goofy smile on her face.

“You may not be able to find your phone, but you’d make one hell of a dog.” She lets out a loud laugh.

“Hardy har har.”

If I roll my eyes one more time they may actually get stuck in the back of my head. Coming up empty, I use the corner of the bed to come to a stand at the edge of my dresser. Catching my reflection out the corner of my eye, I pull down the back of my shirt before Ally catches sight of the burn right below my ribs. Huffing out a sigh my palms smack into my thighs in frustration.

“It was on the bed when I got in the bath.”

I’m talking more to myself than Ally at this point. Her powdered nose stuck in her own phone, fingers flying across the screen, she’s lost all interest in helping me.

“Well thank you for the help.” I state.

Jerking her hazel stare up to mine, “Oh sorry. West.” Lifting her phone in the air with a wink she turns and walks away, leaving me standing there confused and phone-less.

“Come on! We can find it later, but I’m starving.” She whines out her words.

“You’re always hungry.”

Scoffing, she looks over her shoulder with mock horror, “What are you trying to say?”

Another eye-roll.

“Don’t be dense.”

I love this girl, but sometimes she gets on my last nerve. Popping her hip out she smacks her ass while making her way to the door. Her purple locks are down around her shoulders styled with a wet hair look that gives the allusion of being curled. Black fishnet stockings with tiny diamonds down the sides cover her legs and a pink long sleeve crop top that flashes her butterfly belly ring. Ally’s a walking, talking, Victoria Secret ad with the attitude to match.

“Where are we going to eat?”

My stomach lets out a loud growl right after the words leave my mouth and we both pause for a second before laughing.

Pulling the door open she steps to the side to let me pass, “I was thinking of the little Cafe on the beach in Newport.”

“Seaside?” I ask.

It’s an adorable little Cafe off the coast about thirty minutes from here, but it’s close to all of the high-end upscale boutiques. Knowing Ally that’s where she wants to go shopping, not that Imind, it’s not like I don’t have the money to blow on a designer dress.

“Yep, that’s the one!” She pops the P with a smile.

After locking up and loading our hungry asses into my car, I sit back and watch the cars pass by while Ally nods her head to the radio. Slipping on my sunglasses I let my eyes close for a second. Sleep has been hard to find lately, so I take full advantage as passenger princess and rest on the drive.

Before I know it Ally is hitting the brakes making my head smack against the window with a hard thud.

“Fuck!” I yelp.

Rubbing my temple I look over to Ally, but she’s too busy staring out the windshield at a random guy passing by the car.

“Really?”

Shrugging she winks at me with a flirty smile, “What? West doesn’t own me.”

Snorting, I lean up grabbing my purse, “Let’s go, I’m starving.”
