Mac laughs. “I’m looking forward to having lots of giggles filling our home.”
“But I’m going to look for a job when this one is a year old. Don’t be getting all broody again.”
He leans low and whispers in my ear, “I just like the thought of breeding you.”
I mouth. “Oh. My. God.”
Mac laughs. “I like your pussy being bathed in my cum.”
My face heats up so quickly that I know it's bright red, and everyone in the party must notice too. “Stop it.”
Embarrassed, I turn to the dance floor. It’s a sea of love and laughter, our friends, and family celebrating our union.
Nate and his wife Chloe are swaying nearby, their own pregnancy glow radiating. Oliver and Taylor have their hands full, their rambunctious kids darting between the guests, squealing with delight.
Most of the hockey players are here with their wives or girlfriends, and their children.
“I can’t.” His sexy voice is in my ear again. “I love being inside you. I love how we fit together. I love—You.”
Smiling, I turn to Mac. “I love you.” I gaze up at him, my eyes shining with tears of joy.
He chuckles, his muscular arms tightening around me. “In all seriousness, I can’t think of a more perfect day. You’ve made me the luckiest man alive, Kelly.”
I rise on my tiptoes, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. “And you’ve given me the most precious gift of all.”
Our foreheads rest together, and for a moment, it’s as if we’re the only two people in the world.
As the noise and bustle of the reception fades away, I focus on the love shining in Mac’s eyes when a sudden commotion near the entrance pulls us from our reverie.
We turn to see Nate rushing to Mac, his hand holding Chloe’s tight and a wide grin on his face as he holds out his cell.
“Oscar’s just called. It’s a boy!” he announces of his team mate who couldn't come to the wedding because his wife went into early labor. “Nadia’s fine, and the little guy is perfectly healthy.”
A cheer goes up from the crowd.
“That’s so beautiful.” I whisper.
“You’re beautiful.” Mac leans in, his lips brushing my ear. “And you’ve made my life, Kelly, and now I’m going to give you everything.”
I know he will. I’ll give him everything, too.
My heart swells with the promise of our future.
Epilogue Two
Five years later - Mac
I can’t believe it’s been five years since that crazy time when Piper found out about Kelly and me. So much has changed, yet our love has only grown stronger.
We’re on vacation in Hawaii, soaking up the sun and enjoying some much-needed alone time. Her parents insisted because we’d had no alone time since the children were born.
And although I love being with my children, this is so needed. Because while Pierce is still the perfect child, Harper, our four-year-old daughter, is a ball of sass, and I’m happy for the break.
Luckily, both kids love going to California. But when your grandparents take you to Disney and the beach, how could you not?
And I take the children to work with me to give Kelly a break, using the time to deplete them of their energy by skating.
Sometimes it works.
