“I love you,” she said rubbing against him.

“Play fair,” he said pressing his naked body against hers. “Sixteen hours. Maybe I’ll kiss you the whole time.”

“You better not,” Sheridan said breathless, as need clenched her stomach. “Cade.”

“Yes,” he said lowering his lips to hers. “Always yes.”

Epilogue

Tappn held Joelle, their newest daughter, rocked with her. “Didn’t think you were going to make it,” he said.

“We were busy,” Cade grinned.

“Had a good year off,” Tappn asked.

“Oh, hell yes,” Cade said. His eyes stayed on his wife. Sheridan didn’t tell anyone, but she carried their first child. He saw the slight changes in her curves. Four months ago, they removed her fertility block. The first time she ovulated Cade forgot everything but her. It was a delicious experience. He couldn’t wait to repeat it.

“Will we be welcoming a new family member,” Tappn asked.

“How soon is Mia due,” Cade asked, grinning but not answering him.

“A few weeks,” he said. “It’s a boy this time.”

“What will you do with a boy,” Cade asked. Tappn got Mia pregnant once a year. In addition to Frannie, who adored Tappn as her father, they had three daughters. Mia submitted to him, worked her job, and gave him the children he wanted.

“Same as with the others,” Tappn smiled. “Cherish him.”

“How is she doing,” Cade asked.

“If I limit the time she spends either talking to or spending with her mother, she’s great,” Tappn said.

“Sheridan gets angry,” Cade said shook his head. “Louis is good with the grandkids. He will miss them.”

“It’s for the best,” Tappn said. “The deep space supply run Calli is sending them on will limit her ability to gamble.”

“And her access to all of them,” Cade said. “It will take several years before they’re back.”

“What are you two plotting,” Sheridan said pushing her way into Cade’s arms.

“Discussing his children,” Cade said.

“And mom,” Sheridan said. Her patience at an end with her mother.

“Is she still haranguing you,” Cade asked, feeling protective and angry.

“Yes,” Sheridan said. “But we agreed to wait.”

“Until they’re on their way before you announce,” Tappn said. “Wise choice.”

“Otherwise she may refuse to go,” Sheridan said.

“Mia, do not lift the chair,” Tappn said. He looked crossly at Hazel who ordered Mia around, telling her to shift the chairs.

“Yes, Tappn,” Mia said looking relieved. She came to his side. “You’re right, of course.”

“How are you feeling,” Sheridan asked.

“Fat,” Mia laughed. “Happy. Tappn takes good care of me and our daughters.”
