The sound grates on my nerves.Hegrates on my nerves. “What’s interesting?”

“Hot Airport Girl.”

“Don’t call her that.” I don’t like that he noticed how attractive Emery is.

“Oh, don’t like me saying she’s hot, huh?”

“Kid,” I warn again as he wiggles his eyebrows at me.

“Alright. I won’t tell you that your girl is hot. A smoke show. Fine as fuck.”

I growl.

He barks a laugh, holding up his hands in surrender. “I’m done. Don’t worry about Rhys—I’ll tire him out early. He won’t even know you’re missing.”

“Thanks,” I grumble.

“So, where are you going to take her?” He changes the playlist like he didn’t just throw me a curveball.

Nerves swirl in my gut. Fuck. WhereamI going to take her? I visit often, but I rarely make it out of Pine Hills before I’m back on a flight home or to wherever work calls.

“I have no idea.”

“We’ll figure it out.”

“We?” Out of the corner of my eye, I see him flash that mischievous grin we all know means he’s fixing to run his mouth.

“Yes, we. I gotta get you laid. Maybe you’ll be less of a prickly dick if you get some.” He suggestively sticks his tongue in his cheek, shaking his fist.

“You’re an ass.”

“I’myourass,” he mocks, blowing me kisses. He turns up the volume of the music, ignoring me for the rest of the ride.

I don’t mind it when he’s quiet, leaving me to my thoughts.

My mind swirls. The possibilities for dates are endless, but I don’t want just some lame dinner date. I need something better. Something to wow her.

I exhale an exasperated sigh, already frustrated with my lack of creativity. I don’t know where the hell I’m going to take Emery, but it has to be perfect.

Eli:We all know I’m Rhys’s fave. But what’s this about a date?

Cam: Some airport chick. You should have seen his face. He actually smiled. I almost didn’t recognize him.

Mase:Prick. Don’t you know how to keep your mouth shut?

Jace:Nope. Should I be worried that Cam’s being left alone with my son? Should I call the babysitter?

Cam:WTF? I’m perfectly capable of taking care of my nephew.

Cam:Wait! Is the sitter hot?
