"I... you... I thought...", she fumbled, how would she tell him what she thought??

"I told you; I won't hurt you ever, don't be scared", he said softly holding her hand and for the first time that day, she looked in his eyes... "tell me", he asked softly...

"I thought you were planning to throw me out of this palace, so I called bhai...", she told, even at the thought of going away brought tears in her eyes and he gently wiped them... he understood the reason for her tears, and looking at her red eyes, he knew she cried a lot, and those tears told the whole story... his a**hole of a brother-i-law was lying, his wife doesn't want to leave him and that thought itself made his lips twitch upwards...

"And why did you think so??", Abhyansh asked her slowly

"Do you want to??", she asked him a question in return... she needs to know what's in his head... otherwise her head will burst with all the confusion...

"No... not now, not ever... this is your home, you will stay with me forever", he said, surprisingly, those words didn't scare her like they always did, she didn't know the reason though, but he knew, every time he spoke them with venom but now he spoke with his growing feelings for her which he refused to name, but his subconscious always knew he nowlovesher... she sighed closing her eyes... she didn't know why she is so relaxed hearing that but she is... seeing her expression, he felt so much peace, his wife didn't want to leave him and that was enough to end his fury... "now tell me, what made you think so??", he asked her gently cupping her cheek...

"You... you allowed the maids to clean the chamber, I thought you are sending me away, that's why you asked them to resume their duties which I am supposed to do...", she said

"And??", he asked, he wanted to know why she thought before answering her every question... he knew that alone can't be the reason...

"And... and the way you spoke during the breakfast...", she said looking down... he remembered how he spoke and cursed himself realizing in anger, he had hurt her though unintentionally...

"And??", he asked calmly

"You asked Avyan not to drop me, you think your brother is wasting time by dropping me... you don't want your family to associate with me...", she said with tears, and he wiped them gently...

"And??", he asked again gently cupping her cheek, she is surprised that why is he not answering her?? Didn't he botheranswering her now?? She thought but nonetheless answered him...

"You didn't come home at your usual time, I thought you didn't want to see my face", she told him, and her last words made him want to laugh at his innocent wife... how could he tell her that he is dying to see her and if life permits, he could spend all his life just looking at her...

"And??", he asked staring at her intently...

"And nothing", she answered getting slightly irritated but soon realized what she did, so she cupped her mouth in fear...

"And??", he asked again softly...

"Nothing Maharaj...", she said looking at him now...

"And??", he asked again and by staring into her eyes, she understood what he wants to make her understand...

"N...Nothing...", she said suddenly realizing her worries are extremely baseless... why did she even think like that?? Looking into his eyes, she found something unexplainable, but she felt as if he is incapable of sending her away from him...

"And??", he asked again

"Nothing", she replied to him confidently this time...

"Exactly, nothing...", Abhyansh said taking her soft palms into his rough ones... "I asked the servants to clean this chamber because I don't want you to strain yourself, this chamber is huge and you already do a lot of work", he said and she looked at him with wide eyes... he has no plans of accepting to her any soonerthat her stress and strain matters to him a lot but he had to clear all her doubts, he should make her believe that he could never send her away from him... that's the only impossible task for the BEAST and he wanted her to realize it.

"And coming to Avyaan dropping you off, why to change two cars?? That would waste you a lot of time, I know Avyaan drops you at the main junction and from there you book a cab to your office, you have to wait there a lot for the taxi, instead you could travel hassle-free from the palace itself", he added again shocking her, how did he know that she had to wait for a lot of time to get a cab till her office?? He understood her questions by looking at her face but he is not ready to answer those... he can't provide a car for her though he badly wanted to... he didn't want to make it obvious to everyone that he cares for his wife a lot, he has a lot of enemies and they all are silent just because they think he still hates her and even if she dies, it doesn't affect him even a bit, in fact, that would only make him a bit happy, and that's why she is still safe. He could provide her security but he can't rely on it, it's not 100 % safe, and when it came to her, he can't even take a 0.1% chance. Till now his enemies knew nothing could affect his emotions as he is as emotionless as a rock, but if they knew that he would get destroyed if something happens to his wife, none can stop them from trying to hurt her...

He purposely avoided answering about how he spoke that morning and about his family associating with him... he didn't want to lie to her, at the same time, can't scare her by telling her that he is so possessive of her that he doesn't even want his mother and brother near her, so he avoided that topic.

"For your last point, I had a board meeting at 5 PM, usually I'll get all the meetings arranged before 5 PM, but regarding today'sschedule, I didn't check it in prior... so I had to attend it...", he said remembering how he is so indulged in getting jealous of his own brother to check the schedule when his PA mailed him. She looked at him with guilty eyes and tears flew from her eyes again for misunderstanding everything. Also, his extreme care and softness is overwhelming her, she couldn't understand why he changed so much...

"Now, why are you crying?? Hm??", he asked gently wiping her tears...

"I'm so sorry Maharaj... please forgive me...", she said, more tears slipping from her eyes, and those few drops hurt the BEAST more than any bullet did...

"Don't cry...PLEASE", Abhyansh said wiping her tears... she looked at him wide-eyed without even blinking... her husband said 'Please', what has gotten into him, is he the same man or his doppelganger??

He understood what he did, by looking at her expression, he stood up suddenly, he need to leave from there before he loses control and kiss her. He started walking away but stopped at the door.

"Next time ask me before assuming, I will send someone to help you set your clothes", saying this he walked away... his tone back to cold, but it didn't hurt her this time, his assurance calmed her raging heart. But she didn't want to become his wife or is expecting any kind of affection from him, then why is she so relieved knowing he wants her to stay with him forever?? And just like that, her hard-earned peace is destroyed with different kind of thoughts confusing her...
