Page 73 of Peaceful Chaos

As usual when we come together, the room fills with the sounds of our grunts, the headboard slamming against the wall, and the sounds of our flesh meeting. I'm mindless, floating in a sea of sensation, and after all his teasing I come with a scream.

Sin unbuckles one of my hands, and they drop to the mattress. The blood rushes through my shoulders, and I'm able to prop myself up to meet each of his thrusts. His hand wraps around my throat again, and I moan.

"Again," he demands. Somehow he's still going, while I'm melting into a puddle of pleasure.

"I can't," I complain.

"You can, and you will," he growls. It's the growl that tips me over again. The sound is primal and almost not human.

I feel him swell inside of me, and when he comes I swear I go blind. It's hard to be sure since I'm still wearing the blindfold, but there's definitely a short circuit somewhere in my brain. I collapse under him, his weight a heavy blanket I don't want to remove.

After a few moments, he rolls to his side, tucking me against his chest. I sigh in contentment feeling his warmth surround me. He pulls the blindfold off and undoes the remaining cuff from my wrist. "I think you like uncaging me," he murmurs.

"Mmm," I hum in agreement. Words escape me, and it's the best I can do.

"I love you," he whispers.

"I love you more," I reply, finding the ability to speak.

"Impossible. I was empty before you. Now I have everything, and it's terrifying. Losing you would destroy me," he speaks softly. He takes a deep breath. "I will try and stop hovering."

I snuggle deeper against his chest. "And I will try and be more understanding of why you feel the need to."

"Why didyou pick this place? It's a total dive," Jenna complains as we walk into Carlo's bar.

She's not wrong. The sign on the building is so faded it's no longer legible. All of the furniture inside is mismatched. The wooden tables have been carved into over and over again. But the pool tables are well maintained, and the owner is friendly.

As far as it being a decent place for ladies’ night, it's a pretty shitty choice. It's popular with Ford, Shane, and Teddy, which means it brings in the occasional gaggle of co-eds seeking Ford's attention, but it doesn't bring in a lot of guys. Unless they are also following after Ford trying to gain the favor of the most promising quarterback the school has ever seen.

I know for a fact Ford will not be coming in tonight. A fact he's royally pissed off about. Shane and Ted are sitting in a dark surveillance van down the block with a couple of the Chaos soldiers. Carlo, the owner, allowed Shane to come in earlier in the day to set up video and audio equipment around the bar.

Sin and Lucien both wanted to storm the bar once we were inside and confront Jenna immediately, but they eventually agreed doing so would not help drag Damien out of hiding. Instead they sit waiting in Carlo's tiny office, just in case the plan goes sideways.

Amber elbows me in the side, and I remember Jenna asked me a question. "Yeah, it's a dive, but I can't get into a club, remember?"

She rolls her eyes. "I told you, I've got a friend who's a bouncer."

"Clubs aren't my scene. Are we playing pool or what? Sin tried to teach me, but he stood behind me, and—"

"You got dickstracted," Tessa deadpans.

I blink several times then remember how we ended up making use of the bathroom and laugh. "That's pretty accurate actually."

"Ah, I see," Jenna says. I can see the wheels turning as she tries to work the situation to her advantage. Based on her insistence about going to the other club, that's likely where my father has resources in place to be able to take me. "So, I'm guessing this place was hubby approved?"

"We know Carlo, and he lets me hang out here as long as I don't drink. I've been in the spotlight too much lately to risk getting busted with a fake ID," I reply.

"Just because you're taken doesn't mean the other ladies wouldn't mind meeting some men. Am I right, ladies?"

Amber barks a laugh. "I've got two boyfriends. Both of them would kill any guy that tries to hit on me. Coming here is a public service."

"You aren't wrong, baby girl," Lucien purrs in the ear piece he and Sin insisted we wear.

She looks at me and rolls her eyes. Jen fakes a cough to cover a laugh.

"Two boyfriends? Girl, how do you sleep?" Jenna asks, the first real sign of interest in anything other than going to the club.
