"We will," Oliver replied. "We will."
Leo's phone went off and saw a text from Michael asking him to come to Jaxson's office. When did Michael go up to his office? He looked over to where Monroe was, but Michael wasn't anywhere near her.
"I need to go," Leo said. "Michael needs me in Jaxson'soffice."
Oliver grunted and pushed off of the wall, leaving to go who knows where. Leo knew that it was taking a toll on both of them that Hedda wasn't responding to them. She was the girl for them, and they didn't want anyone else.
Leo let out a sigh and headed towards Jaxson's office. He didn't know what could be wrong, but any distraction was welcome right now. He didn't even knock on the door and just headed right in.
"What's wrong?" Leo asked as he walked further into the office. "Sofia." But she didn't look up.
She still looked pale, and he didn't like that.
"You tell your Daddy you weren't feeling well?" He asked.
He hoped she had because she looked like she was going to puke any second.
"Not exactly. I saw her dash towards the bathroom, and she was throwing up," Jaxson said.
"You should've told your Daddy that you ate something bad. He would've made you feel better."
Sofia flinched and it didn't go unnoticed. What had he said to make her react like that?
"She didn't eat anything bad," Jaxson said. "Do you know anyone who would want either one of us or both of us?"
Leo looked at Sofia with a disapproving look. She had lied to him about eating something bad.
"I hope you give her a spanking for lying," Leo said as he looked at Jaxson. He thought about the second part and thought that it was such an odd question to be asked. "It's unacceptable. But no, I can't think of anyone who wouldwant either one of us or both of us. We aren't really out much."
Well, that was a lie for Jaxson. Ever since he hired Sofia, he had been out there more when she worked.
"It would have to be someone that is here right now. She got one before her shift started and after," Michael said. "Maybe one of the employees?"
Leo looked at Michael in confusion. What was going on? Sofia had received two of what?
"What's going on?" he asked as he looked between Jaxson and Michael.
"Sofia got two threatening notes today," Jaxson said. "The last one mentioned to stay away from you and me."
Leo's eyes went wide with the news. Sofia had received two threatening notes? Was the first one right before he saw her? Was that why she was so pale?
"I'm going to call This We'll Defend Security and get them to look into it. I’ll also have them get a bodyguard here to keep Sofia safe," Jaxson explained.
"Don't you have a friends there?" Leo asked. He had heard that name before but couldn't place from where.
"Yeah, he does. He helped with Monroe when she was in danger," Michael said. "I suggest asking for Ezra, if he can come. He seemed to get along with Monroe and I have no doubt he'll get along with Sofia."
He hoped someone could be sent to be a bodyguard for her. He didn't know much about This We'll Defend Security, but a lot of security companies were constantly busy and booked, not having a spare person in an emergency situation.
Jaxson and Sofia softly talked to each otherand he tried not to pay much attention to it but when he heard her getting a letter from the government, his ears perked up at that. Why was she getting a letter from the government?
"Why?" Jaxson asked. "What did they want?"
"They were reminding me that I needed to reapply for my work visa or else I was going to get deported," Sofia softly said.
Leo saw Michael's head turn towards Sofia and all three of them stared at her in shock. Sofia started to fidget on the couch.
"What do you mean?" Jaxson asked. "Don't you have a year? You haven't been here a year yet or even close to it."
