"No glaring unless you want to be sent to the naughty corner," Daddy said.
Hedda gulped. Shit. Did she want to do this in front of Miles, Angelo, and Storm? She knew Daddy meant business and was going to make her do it in front of everyone.
"No," she whispered.
"That's what I thought," Daddy said. "Be a good girl."
She let out a huff of air and turned back towards Miles who had a disappointed look on his face.
Shit.
That wasn't any better. What had she done for him to give her that look?
"You aren't taking care of yourself?" Miles said. "We've had this talk before."
"I know," Hedda said.
"Do you? Or are you just saying that forme to get off your back about this? You know it's important to take care of yourself."
"I know. I really do. I've already talked to Papa and Daddy about this. I was worried I wouldn't ever see them again. You would be worried if Storm got taken again!"
Miles stilled and looked at her. She knew she struck a nerve. Storm had gotten taken before and he had gone off the deep end.
"That is different," Miles growled.
Hedda opened her mouth, but Papa put a hand on her shoulder. Shit. She didn't need to be doing this in front of everyone. She didn't need to be doing this at all. Miles just riled her up all the time. He knew how to push her bottoms.
Miles took a deep breath in. "I'm glad you're happy with them. I know I won't have to worry too much since they'll be keeping you in line."
She glared at Miles as she saw a glint of something in his eye.
"Fuck you," she said.
Daddy landed a swat on her bottom.
"Ouch," She yelled.
Miles laughed and she glared at him before sticking her tongue out at him.
"You've got your hands full with this one," Miles said. "She's always had a naughty streak in her."
"I do not!" Hedda yelled.
"Yes you do," Papa said. "You most definitely have a naughty streak in you."
Miles laughed again and turned towards Storm.
"Come on," he said. "We're going home."
Hedda turned and wrapped her arms around Storm.
"We'll see each other soon. You'll definitely have to come and visit!" Hedda said.
"I'll convince my Daddy," she whispered. "See you."
Miles and Storm walked out of the house and Hedda turned towards Papa and Daddy.
"Let's go home."
