Even though the gentle squeezes and touches weren’t sexual, they still felt possessive, and that was something he really enjoyed. He liked feeling like Tomas knew he could touch him whenever he wanted, even if it wasn’t for sex.
Once they finished in the kitchen, Tomas wrapped an arm around each of their waists and tugged them close so they were shoulder to shoulder pressed down the front of his body. Mason found Vinnie’s hand and laced their fingers together, his heart so full of affection he got a little lightheaded.
“What kind of movie do you two feel like watching?”
“I don’t care,” Vinnie said, leaning forward to press his face into the side of Tomas’s neck.
Mason pushed up onto his toes so he could do the same, pressing a kiss into the skin there and inhaling Tomas’s scent before dropping back down and snuggling into his chest. “I say action. If I watch something too funny, I might throw up from laughing too hard.”
Both their bodies jerked against him as they laughed, but Mason didn’t mind, simply burrowing closer. Tomas held them there like that for a few long moments, the only sounds in the room their soft breathing. He could hear Tomas’s steady heartbeat, and it calmed him, easing him down into a relaxed headspace. He wasn’t sure the last time he’d felt so at peace and cared for.
“I have a wild suggestion,” Tomas said, his voice little more than a deep rumble. “Let’s watch upstairs in bed so I can keep holding you both easily.”
Mason nodded immediately. He wanted that. He didn’t want space between them, any of them.
They climbed up the steps together, and Mason led the way into Tomas’s room. He started to unbutton his jeans and then paused. “I assume it’s okay if I take my pants off?”
Vinnie chuckled and shook his head. “You really can’t help yourself, can you?”
“What? I don’t want to lay in bed with jeans on!”
“It has nothing to do with the fact that you know how gorgeous you are without clothes on?”
“Oh, please,” Mason said with a grin. “Like you’re some hideous troll monster.”
“Boys,” Tomas said, but there was an edge of humor to his voice.
He stripped his T-shirt off over his head and tossed it onto a wooden rocking chair sitting in the corner of the room. Mason hadn’t noticed it the last time he was there, but he had to wonder where it had come from and if he ever used it for anything other than just stacking clothes on.
“Do I need to separate you two so you’ll behave?”
Mason put on his most innocent face, unzipped his pants, and dragged them down his legs, kicking them away. “Us? No, we would never be that naughty.”
Tomas hummed but didn’t say anything. His dark eyes were bright with interest, though, as he watched the two of them strip down into their underwear. Mason grinned when Tomas gestured at their matching icy-blue cheeky briefs.
“Why do I have a feeling this was planned?”
They laughed and climbed up onto the bed, leaving a space between them that Tomas filled a moment later, as soon as he shucked off his own jeans. They stacked pillows, play fought over the blankets, and then snuggled in on either side of Tomas, heads on his shoulders. After putting on an action movie Mason had never heard of but approved because Jason Statham was in it, Tomas wrapped an arm around each of them. His hand gripped lightly at Mason’s waist, and he got that same shivery, good feeling of possessiveness.
He was only half paying attention to the movie, his full belly and the warmth of being cuddled up with two of his favorite people lulling him into a sort of waking doze. Most of his remaining focus was centered on touching Tomas’s skin and playing with Vinnie’s fingers whenever they met on his soft, furry abdomen.
Tomas kept his attention on the large television hanging on the wall, but every once in a while, if they hit a sensitive spot, his muscles would jump, or goose bumps would pop up. Mason loved the softness of the moment, the feeling of getting toknow Tomas’s body in a way that wasn’t really sex but was still intimate and real.
He started to doze toward the end of the movie, even as there were giant explosions and car crashes and thepop, pop, popof guns going off every few seconds, but he jerked awake when the doorbell rang.
“Who the fuck?” Tomas said under his breath. “Gatito, hand me my phone.”
Vinnie grabbed it off the bedside table and passed it to Tomas, who opened the app to check the front door camera. A white man in his sixties with gray hair and a police uniform stood there, a scowl on his ruddy face.
“This fucking asshole.” Tomas pressed a quick kiss onto the tops of their heads and then climbed out of bed. “I’m going to go see what he wants. Hopefully, he’s just going to annoy me, but I’ll holler if it’s anything more.”
Mason tossed aside the remote he’d used to pause the TV and exchanged a glance with Vinnie. “We can just come down with you.”
Tomas shook his head. “Sheriff Winters is a real asshole. I don’t want you two subjected to that if I can help it.”
Vinnie started to argue, but Mason reached over and put a hand on his arm, giving a slight shake of his head when Vinnie glanced at him. He wanted to go too, but now wasn’t the time. There was a tenseness in Tomas’s shoulders and jaw that hadn’t ever been there before in the weeks that Mason had known him.
Tomas pulled on his jeans and T-shirt. “I’ll be right back.”
