“You’re ridiculous.” Mason kissed his neck, sending a shiver down his spine. “I meant with all the work on your plate. I could… help you.”

The offer hung in the air around them, and Tomas swallowed, emotions welling up inside him. “You want to be my assistant?”

“You need help,” he said again, softer.

“I do,” he agreed, running the idea through his mind. “I can’t pay much.”

“I don’t need to get paid.” Mason chuckled. “I make plenty with my channel, but this way, we can spend, you know, more time together.”

“I’d like that,” he said, meaning it. He’d also have to make sure he spent plenty of one-on-one time with Vinnie once he started back at the hospital. “Are you sure?”

Mason nodded, bumping Tomas’s chin. “I’m sure. And if I’m in your office with you, that gives you plenty of opportunities to take me whenever you want.”

He practically purred at the notion. “That’s true.”

“You’ll think about it?”

Pressing a kiss to his wild hair, he said quietly, “I don’t need to think about it. I’ll take any opportunity to spend time with you.”
