“Come on, you’ve been ignoring me and if I was in Denver I’d already be inside you again, so this will just have to do for now.”

“You’re gross.”

“You don’t believe that.”

I should hang up. I know that, but that damn little part of me that likes the attention he’s giving me is stopping me. I’ve been able to suppress it while avoiding him, but with his voice in my ear, reminding me of us together, I can’t. How it could happen again. How I could have a little fun with him…

“Tell me something first,” I blurt.

“What do you want to know?”

“What happened with Matt during the game?”

He doesn’t answer right away and I’m curious if I finally found a way to shut him up.

“I was annoyed with Jones missing a clear shot and was laying into him when McQuaid decided to stick his nose in it.” He still sounds a little irritated and I don’t know why I feel like he’s not telling me the full story, but I accept it for now.

“Fine,” I say softly. “On one condition.”

I hear shuffling on the other end of the phone. “Anything.”

“You don’t talk. Only watch.” I can’t believe I’m going to do this. I can’t believe any of this. Someone give me a lobotomy, I’ve lost it.

“I’ll agree to that with a condition of my own,” he concedes.

“What?”

“When I get back, you do what I want.”

I groan inwardly, throwing my head back, closing my eyes, taking a deep breath, and already knowing I’m going to regret the words that are about to come out of my mouth, but unable to stop them anyway.

“Fine. Your no talking starts now.”

My phone alerts that he’s trying to switch to a video call and with one more deep breath I answer. Knowing this is a mistake, knowing agreeing to what I just did was probably a bigger mistake. Yet, never being so turned on in my life and liking the idea of having his eyes on me, unable to say anything to me and getting to tease him however I want.

Yeah, this might be kind of fun.

It makes me think of how Audrey does this for a living, but for more than just one person at a time. I know how she and Charlie really met, and I wonder if this is how it felt, except they didn’t know who the other person was.

There’s something sexy about it, a power I’ve never felt before as I set my phone on the counter and watch his eyes as they take me in. His bare chest rising and falling with deep breaths as I try not to drool over the cut muscles I can see.

His shaggy hair looks like it did the night we fucked when I messed it up with my hands, his eyes are dark with desire as he watches me.

The bathroom is already steaming from the hot water. I’m too busy staring at Colton when I notice he raises his eyebrows and opens his mouth to start to say something, but I stop him.

“No. Talking.”

He smiles widely, but does what I say which I didn’t really expect from him. I set my phone on the counter, the shower in view, the glass is frosted so his visibility is going to be obstructed, just like I prefer.

I step away from my phone to feel the water temperature tomake sure it’s not too hot, after a slight adjustment I step back and start removing my clothes. My back to my phone. Colton clears his throat and I turn to look over my bare shoulder to glare at him.

He gestures for me to turn around.

“No giving instructions of any kind,” I tell him.

“That wasn’t the rule, Princess.”

“You suck at following them anyway apparently. I’m hanging up.” I stride forward with my arm banded around my chest.
