I narrow my eyes at her. “You’re not going to tell me this is a terrible idea?”

She shrugs. “You’re a big girl. You know it’s a terrible idea, but I know you can handle yourself. Plus, he’s persistent and could use you putting him in his place a bit.”

I don’t dare tell her I think I’ll be the one being put in my place if Colton actually backs up the things he said to me last night. Especially about me being submissive.

“Promise you won’t say anything to Jared?” I ask, needing her to confirm.

“Promise, this stays between us completely.”

“Perfect. I also need you to promise that when this all blows up in my face, you’ll be there for me?”

“I’ll always be here for you, just like you’ve always been there for me.”

We link pinkies, sealing the promise. Because no matter what, I know there isn’t a world where this doesn’t completely blow up in my face.

If I thought it was fun to know what it was like to kiss Brynn behind her brother’s back, it’s nothing compared to knowing how she really tastes. What she looks like when she comes. What she sounds like when I fuck her. Yeah, I’m fucking sick and I don’t even care.

It’s been three weeks since it happened, and she’s been doing everything to avoid me which is starting to piss me off. I like the chase, but I don’t like being ignored. Which is exactly what has been happening. She doesn’t respond to any of my texts, sends my calls to voicemail and the two times I’ve attempted to see her after the games she left before I came out of the locker room. Or maybe she avoided coming to the games altogether, but I wouldn’t know since she’s fucking ignoring me.

It's been tempting to show up at her door, but I don’t need her running away even more. Someone else might be worried about her running to her brother, but that’s not even on my mind because I would love it if she did. I’m still itching to fightthat fucker.

We’re about to leave for an away game in Arizona before coming back to face Vegas, then it’s Thanksgiving before we’re back on the road for another week. And I’m running out of patience.

Colton: If you don’t say something to me, I’m going to tell your brother exactly what I plan to do to you when I see you next.

I finish packing my bag for the trip tomorrow and toss it by the front door just as my phone chimes.

Baby Collee: I already told you there will never be a next time.

I smile at the screen.

Colton: Finally done ignoring me, and I told you there will be.

Baby Collee: I’ve been busy. You were beginning to seem desperate. Consider this me throwing you a bone. Go fetch, doggy.

Colton: There’s only one bone around here, and I won’t be the one fetching it.

Colton: How much has your pussy missed me?

Colton: Your cat, I mean, of course.

Baby Collee: She forgot all about you.

Baby Collee: And before you ask, so did the other pussy.

Colton: Perfect, sounds like I need to come over again, then.

Colton: Once we get back from Arizona.

She doesn’t respond, which means she isn’t outright denying me anymore. Just ignoring me. But I’m done waiting to touch her again.

As I’m gettingready for the game, I reach out to Brynn again because something about talking to her can get me riled up in a way that helps my game performance. It might be the sexual frustration, or just the frustration in general. Either way, it works, and I play better with a little motivation.

Colton: You going to be ready for me again tomorrow, Princess?

Baby Collee: Maybe if you get a hat trick again. Or a hat trick each period. That would impress me.
