Bonus Epilogue
Family
Our home was full oflove, life, and happiness. Billionaire Mr. Daxon Stark’s lonely life of freedom was now filled with family. A family that came together through business and it created true love. Love brought the truth to light when it wanted to stay hidden forever. But two precious children made it all happen.
Dylan Stark held his half-brother and sister in his arms. He lovingly looked down at them with a proud smile on his face and the babies cooed at him. They loved their big brother and their bond was like no other.
“I think Faith wants her mommy.” Dylan announced as he passed my daughter to me and I took her into my arms.
Her deep brown eyes peered up at me with an innocence I vowed to protect. Her soft black hair matched my own and was out of control, but the cutest sight. She took my finger, and I cradled her close. The smell of her newborn baby scent still lingered, and I wished they could stay this small forever.
“And I think Damien wants his daddy.” Dylan smiled as he passed his baby brother to his father.
Dylan stepped back and joined a man I knew from what now felt like so long ago. He joined hands with the same man I caught him in bed with. But it has changed my life for the better.
It no longer stung or felt vengeful. It was true and right. Dylan was now with the one he loved and no longer hidden in shame. His sexuality was out, and Dylan had come out of the closet. His lover wasn’t just that, but a man he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and the ring on his fiancé’s finger proved it.
We’ve put everything behind us. All the hurt, mistrust and we did it for the sake of our family. We’ve forgiven our mistakes and no longer live a lie.
Daxon smiled at Dylan with happiness, and he knew the truth. I’d convinced Dylan to come clean and told him his father wouldn’t judge him like some dirty secret. He loved his children with all of his heart, and I knew deep down he would accept Dylan for who he truly was.
And I was right.
All he wanted was for Dylan to be happy. His love was no mistake, and he should be able to love who he wanted. His mother would’ve accepted it and he did too.
He was proud of Dylan and stood by his side when he revealed the truth to the world. Dylan expected backlash and judgement, but it was the complete opposite. Everyone accepted him for who he was and he became a role model for others. His strength had pushed many to come out and be true to themselves. We were all so proud of him.
But not all sincerity came easy.
It came as a shock.
We all thought D.S. Industries would tank. We thought it was the end of a business built from the ground up, but it was the complete opposite. It flourished.
When our forbidden relationship hit the tabloids it took off like wildfire. Mr. Daxon Stark was no longer a bachelor and took off the market. Everyone wanted to know more. They raved to discover the woman who stole his heart and gave birth to his babies.
It was front page news.
I couldn’t believe it, but the company took a slight hit. Our romance angered some that wanted Dylan and I married, but it wasn’t possible. Our hearts belong elsewhere. But with me as the fresh face of D.S. Industries, the media ate it up.
I was the new inspiration for the company and my down-to-earth personality was a win for marketing. My face was everywhere, and it was a journey I never expected. I always wanted to run my company, but now we would run D.S. Industries together as a family.
And soon it would be permanent.
I peered down at the diamond ring that glistened with the light and my heart filled with love. My engagement ring was extravagant and told our story of passionate, forbidden love. A tale we never imagined would happen, but it did. And it was the best love story of all.
Behind every man was an extraordinary woman. I was his backbone, and he was in charge. But I was Daxon Stark’s wife to be.
I gazed over at the man who won my heart and captured my soul. We played a tempting game, and it intoxicated us. It pulled us in, tortured our emotions, and played with our inner monster. It brought out the worst in us, but also our best.
Our twisted game clung on to the bitter end, but together we claimed victory. We held our trophies in our arms as their innocent eyes gazed up at us and we’ve conquered all. Our hearts were full, and the battle was over. We had won the greatest award of all.
Our family.
