He opens the box and smiles. Taking one out he takes a bite and moans.

“Good?” I ask.

“Darling, if I wasn’t already a married man I’d be asking you to marry me.” He smiles.

“Well if they are that good I want to try them.” A voice behind me says.

I turn around and spot the guy I bought the truck from.

“Oh hi, um, Wyatt?” I ask.

“She remembers my name!” He mocks shock, holding his hand on his heart.

“Boy I'm telling you now, you are not getting your hands on these. They are mine and mine alone.” Ted grumbles as he walks away with the box.

“He really likes eclairs.” I smile.

“So, you're looking good Esme. I hear your bakery will be opening soon?” He asks.

“Yeah, not long now. All depending on the final checks. Should be good to go in three weeks time.” I say excitedly.

“Wow that’s great. Let me take you out for a bite to eat and drink to celebrate?” He asks.

I think about it for a minute. Wyatt is a nice guy, he’s good looking, and I've got nothing to lose.

“Sure, okay, great.” I smile.

“Okay. I will pick you up at seven tonight.” He says, taking my hand and kissing it.

I smile.

“See you at seven.”

I turn around to head back to the truck and see Gaige. My steps falter and I quickly paste on a smile.

“Hey.” I greet awkwardly.

His eyes are following Wyatt.

“Gaige?” I call, waving my hand in front of his face.

His eyes come to mine.

“You’re going out with him tonight?” He asks.

I frown.

“Yeah I am, why? Is he not a nice guy?” I ask.

“No, he’s a nice guy. Just didn’t think you were ready to be dating yet.” He states.

I look down at the ground.

“Well I’ve got to start sometime right?” I shrug.

I look up at him and see that he looks pissed off.

“I will see you around.” He states and walks off.
